At 10:30 am we took along a walk at Shelley Lake. Look at the beautiful sky. It was 53 then but actually felt warmer. Shelley Lake has been the home of a nesting pair of Bald Eagles for many years. Each year they make their new nest on top of the previous nest
Every spring they rope off a good portion of the area surrounding the nesting tree. OH MY GOSH I LOOKED UP TO THE TIPPY TOP OF THE VERY TALL PINE SAW A GLORIOUS EAGLE PERCHED ON THE LIMB.
Can you find the Bald Eagle and it's nest?
Hint: Large pine on the left side of the photo
Imagine the face of a clock
Nest is at 11 o'clock, Eagle at 12 Noon
In the photo below the Bald Eagle is at the red arrow
the nest at the horizontal gold arrows on the left.

I spotted the nest and the eagle. We always feel fortunate to see an eagle. Love the bottom left Spark! We saw eagles much more often in Missouri than we do here. Good Morning!
ReplyDeleteCool! I really enjoy seeing the eagles at the lake when we are fishing. I'm glad they rope the area off.
ReplyDeleteWell this was quite a pandemic Adventure! It is thrilling to see one of them because we don't see them often. We're getting more and more Eagles here in our town because of the preserves but I've yet to see one flying. I'm still laughing at ease ease comment about the mom nickname the parrot
ReplyDeleteWe spotted it! Mom got a text from a friend with one in a tree near our house.
