Awww Monday and Sparks

Wednesday March 3
At 10:30 am we took along a walk at Shelley Lake.  Look at the beautiful sky.  It was 53 then but actually felt warmer. Shelley Lake has been the home of a nesting pair of Bald Eagles for many years. Each year they make their new nest on top of the previous nest
Every spring they rope off a good portion of the area surrounding the nesting tree. OH MY GOSH I LOOKED UP TO THE TIPPY TOP OF THE VERY TALL PINE SAW A GLORIOUS EAGLE PERCHED ON THE LIMB.

Can you find the Bald Eagle and it's nest?
Hint: Large pine on the left side of the photo
Imagine the face of a clock
Nest is at 11 o'clock, Eagle at 12 Noon

In the photo below the Bald Eagle is at the red arrow

the nest at the horizontal gold arrows on the left.

  4. Some great quotes! I saw the eagle and the nest - how lucky you are to be that close to such a magnificent bird. We have lots of hawks here but no eagles!

  7. Well this was quite a pandemic Adventure! It is thrilling to see one of them because we don't see them often. We're getting more and more Eagles here in our town because of the preserves but I've yet to see one flying. I'm still laughing at ease ease comment about the mom nickname the parrot

  10. Well done! We used to regularly watch an Eagle's nest on the grounds of KSC, always returned to for years by the same couple ~ it had been built and rebuilt to the size of a
king-size mattress! They came faithfully to birth their new ones for many years ... a
    beautiful sight.

  18. Love your eagle shots! We have had a young pair take up residence al9ng the river near us, but I have been unable to spot the nest - yet. I don't think they will have fledglings this year, but who knows. I miss the vast numbers of eagles I got to see in Vancouver. And your Sparks are AWESOME! Thank you!
