Thanks to our

Mom was enjoying the beautiful hummingbird at the lantana when she noticed something in the background.
Black snakes are our friends as they keep away mice, rats, and other pests.
Mom didn’t want the black beauty to disturb the hummers, so she escorted him out of the yard.
We love nature!

Auntie and Uncle are in awe times 1 million, at your hummingbird video. Wow wow wow‼️‼️‼️ Your Mom should be a wildlife videographer!!!
Holy macaroni that is a very very very long black snake. I had no idea mom was a snake whisperer! Did she use her teacher voice on him?
❤️❤️‼️

ReplyDeleteBeautiful creatures!
ReplyDeleteHumming birds are so fun to watch! Mom's Gramma had a lot of them up at the lake when Mom was a kid.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty hummers.
ReplyDeleteI have to agree that is one long, long and slim snake! Thank your Mom for escorting it out of the yard. Love seeing the hummer around the pretty flowers.
ReplyDeleteexcellent capture of the hummingbird and the snake. we have always had black snakes until 2020. we have protected them for years, have not seen one since then. not sure what happened. this is a fine specimen
ReplyDeleteNoooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!! Snakes freak Mom out.
ReplyDeleteHow adorable. I wouldn't bother the snake either. They take care of all the pests. Love hummingbirds. We have six large feeders up and can barely keep up.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. Big hug. ♥
What a great video of the hummer and snake. We have hummingbirds in our garden and garter snakes. Our snakes do a good job of keeping snails and slugs off our nice perennials.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing the hummers and I actually like seeing Mr. Snakie too. Thank you for sparing him. I hope he made it across the street.
ReplyDeleteWe always enjoy those hummers too, they are so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful wildlife moment!! We have a roadrunner here that we worry will get our hummers, thank goodness Rosy likes to play Wiley Coyote and chase him off when he gets too close!!
ReplyDeleteLove the beautiful wild things in your backyard!
ReplyDeleteAwesome Hummingbird video ~ love it ~ Xo

ReplyDeleteHow we wish the pretty hummers would come to Mom's feeder!!! She tries so hard. Maybe there are black snakes in the garden. We might need Ms. Kit to help us out.
