I read an article about 18 female names that should make a comeback
Look what I found
Cecilia
Cecilia is a Welsh name that is seriously underused. Cecilia is a feminine form of Cecil, and this name is perhaps most commonly associated with a Dickens character name in his novel Hard Times.
Cecilia is such a lovely name and surely deserves to be more popular.
ReplyDeleteCheers, Gail.
PS The only other Gail I come across these days is a rather disobedient working collie belonging to my farmer neighbour in Torridon. I am often startled by hearing him shout "No Gail, NO!"
Cecilia is a lovely name and I have never heard anyone else with it. Much nicer than Celia.

ReplyDeleteabsolutely it is a wonderful name!!! we always smile when we see snowmen... the name "snowfreaks" like ernie&frankie called them is immediately in our mind...

The name fits you sooooo well, C. I've always enjoyed the name Cecilia.. the Simon and Garfunkel song has been one of my favorites since I was a little girl.
ReplyDeleteIt's funny how certain names become popular for a while, and then they're out. I see that in my nursing home ladies. Ten years ago, we had Arlene, Betty, and Shirley. Lately we're seeing ladies named Patricia, Linda, and Karen. I wonder what names we'll see in 50 years?
