was
BLOGVILLE SLED DAY
Madi was all about fun and pawticipation. She was the ultimate Pawty Girl
I'M READY FOR SLED DAY
I HAVE ON MY NEW TOBOGGAN
AND MY BEST FUR COAT.
I AM BEYOND THRILLED TO BE A PART OF SARGE'S
Since this was my first time in the snow and on a sled, I
asked Sarge if I could (thanks Sarge for providing such a
great ride) try a cafeteria tray first.
After a few trips down the kitty slopes, I felt confident enough
to hop on this Arctic Ice Breaker to do some serious sledding.
OMDS/OMCs you will never in a gazillion years guess how
COOOOOOOOOOL THIS RIDE WAS!!! MOL
Chris, ONE OF THE FORMER GRADUATE STUDENTS MOM WORKED
WITH IS WORKING IN THE FIELD OF BLUE ICE. HE SENT MOM
THIS PICTURE OF HIS TRIP TO THE ARCTIC.
HE IS ON THE RIGHT USING A HAND DRILL TO GET CORE ICE.
Side note today:
I loved working with all the students at NCSU. Chris is originally from
Germany. He received his PhD and is now in Norway.
ooh we love the dica maddy story... and sarge... oh what a wonderful time we had.... and the mama is happy to know how to make a diy toboggan with a tray LOL
ReplyDeleteGreat photo from Chris in the Arctic. It puts our recent cold spell into perspective!
ReplyDeleteThat looked like a fun sled ride for Madi. Great photo from the Arctic.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great ride the cafeteria tray made for you, Madi! That is SuperCold work that Chris is doing but it does look interesting!
ReplyDeleteI guess some Brave scientist has to get out in that frigid cold for testing. Just glad it's not me because it gives me the shivers. Your angel riding on a tree in the snow was cold enough, lol.
ReplyDeleteMom would love to visit Antarctica, but that will never happen. Cold and snow and is her thing, not this horrible warm winter we are having.
ReplyDeleteVery COOL about blue ice and Chris! Very clever Madi thought of a cafeteria tray for a sled! Why don't I remember this post?
ReplyDeleteHari Om
ReplyDeleteAngel Madi brings a sweet smile and brightens a dull day! YAM xx
now that tray is the best of all sleighs. my brother used to ride down the mountain on pieces of linoleum. not so the fearful me. brrrr on the core ice in the artic.. the photos looks really really COLD..
ReplyDeleteWhat a great flash back to a fun Blogville event. We like the cold and snow but we don't think we'd like to be in the Artic.
ReplyDeleteAngel Madi sure loved her sled ride.
ReplyDeleteAnd being active at the Arctic—wow, not for me as it is way too cold.
Hugs,
Mariette + Kitties
Angel Madi was an avid adventurer!! What fun!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful Artic picture, it made us cold just looking at it!
xoxo,
Beth and the Girls
I loved seeing the Arctic pictures. That took some serious muscle for him to use that drill! WHOA! Boy Madi, wish I ghad been there to see if I could hook a ride on your sled with you.
ReplyDeleteBrrr ~ some place colder than New England ~ great photo and wonderful you still connect with former students ~ fun in the sled ~ sweet kitty ~ hugs,
ReplyDeleteHugs to you and Angel Madi ~ Xos
Wishing you good health, laughter and love in your days,

I love the cold, but I would pass on Antartica. Nice to see Angel Madi and her "sled". XO

ReplyDelete( but bet de ice fizhin ther iz awesum !! ♥♥
Such fun flashbacks. I'm sure glad we don't have to worry about sledding here!
ReplyDeleteHave fun sledding
ReplyDeleteHAHA! Madi on a lunch tray - now that's my kind of sled too Angel Madi! As for working out in the FREEEEEEEZING COLD, I admire anyone who can do that and especially those whose jobs involve that - I have always been super sensitive to temperature......hot and cold. That means I'm rarely "comfortable" in any kind of weather!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Pam
"...and my best fur coat." Angel Madi, you're too funny! Working with or being around people from other countries is usually quite educational and interesting.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you got a cafeteria tray sled ride. You'll be on the biggest slopes before you know it.
ReplyDeleteI hope whatever samples they are getting help their research. Science is amazing.
Thank you for linking up with Feline Friday!
