My poem to go with the original photo
Symmetry for your Mind's Eye
The Forest
by
Cecilia 2018
Deep in the woods where the sun 'don't' shine
you'll find treasures to behold with stories untold.
If you know your stuff and don't mind roughin' it,
surprises are bountiful to the bold.
Trees grow tall, they shade the ground.
The earth is carpeted with lush green moss.
Some days rays of sun filter through the trees.
Other days are wet with a chill and a bit of breeze.
Forest critters scurry to and fro grabbing bits of sun.
When the rains come, with glee they all run for cover
under nature's umbrella the itty bitty mushroom tree.
I like those big mushrooms and your poem.

ReplyDeleteI loved that photo when we originally found it for Poetry Challenge......I could almost see "little people" under those mushrooms and that's really why I chose it. Your poem was PERFECT (and still is!).
