You won’t believe what just witnessed! 🙀
My adorable Ginger Brother from another mother has a drinkin' problem
I’m not sure how to react, so I’m asking for help from our Blog Family!
When I saw Rocky with his head in the toilet, I assumed the poor, little fellow must be sick, as I’ve observed Mom in a similar position when she had tummy virus. 🤮
Then I realized, he was DRINKING FROM THE TOILET!!!🥴
We have 2 automatic water fountains, and Mom turns on faucets for us whenever we meow for it.
Apparently, Rocky prefers his water from a porcelain throne!
Mom only use natural cleaning products (lots of vinegar & baking soda) here. Nothing toxic to pets,so no worries!
I’m still embarrassed by his behavior! 😹 Do any of our blogger Furiends do this?
Mom had suspicions this was going on, 'casue many times she has encountered wetTness on the loo seat.
Lovingly Kat who keeps his paws on dry ground.
Dearest Kat and Rocky
Mol mol mol Auntie is 🙀😹speechless and giggling 🤣🤣too. ROCKY
WAS THERE A GECKO IN NEED OF F(eline)CPR. Good thing your daggers had a tight grip..you don’t want to take a dip in the loo.
Oh my this is such a fun email and I bet you will get lots of fun stories of others doing it too. PS at least Rocky doesn't leave the seat lid up
Lovingly Auntie Hic
Gail is always thrilled when one of our blog friends posts about a 'bad ' habit that I don't have...
ReplyDeleteToodle-oo!
Nobby
PS from Gail - I just hope this post has not given Nobby 'ideas'.
We always had to keep the lid down to keep Eric out of the toilet. I don't think he drank it as much as wanted to play with it.

ReplyDeleteI guess the obvious intervention is to close the lid - which might require retraining the main users! YAM xx
my answer is the same as Yam, close the lid. we all know what cats want to do they do, and so do a lot of dogs. he sured looks cute doing it though..
ReplyDeleteMy sissy's kitty, Koda, likes to play in the toilet water but we don't think he ever drinks it.
ReplyDeleteCats in their water. One of mine used to drink out of the toilet and I just cured it by always making sure that the lid was down and for a while I even get the bathroom door shut. Then I started sitting out those of water in unusual places throughout the house and that seemed to do the trick. It was like it was finding a treat to find a new water dish.
ReplyDeleteMom has always been a lid down fanatic so no one around here has ever had the opportunity to drink that nice, cold, toilet water, but we've heard it is wonderful! We do drink water out of the shower when Mom is getting out, before she closes the door.
ReplyDeleteI hope there was some soft Charmin nearby to wipe his gentle whiskers with ...
ReplyDeleteMOL... critters are so funny
ReplyDeleteNone of our Angel sisters ever drank out of the toilet, but we have to keep the lids down in our house or Millie will drink out of the bowl instead of the water bowl for us pups. BOL!
ReplyDeletedood…eye am crackin UP….thiz bee hill larry uz 😺😺😺‼️🐟💙💚. tell yur mom ta add
ReplyDeletesum fizh in that bowl sew ewe can all sew N joy a snax 🐟🐟🐟🐟
Rocky!!! I can't believe you are doing that! I don't recall any of our kitties doing that but they loved drinking out of the faucets. I was a lid down person.
ReplyDeleteIt's how some kitties roll. We've caught Squeaker drinking from the toilet. How fun. You made me laugh out loud.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Love and hugs, my friend. ♥
Dearest Cecilia,
ReplyDeleteYep, it is one of those kitty stories!
We had only one kitty, our Angel Barty boy, do that but we turned the lid down.
Hugs,
Mariette + Kitties

BOL!! We always thought this was a dog thing...luckily for Mama, we are too short, and not as agile as kitties so have never tried the water in the toilet.

Rosy & Sunny
We would love to have a sip from that eau de toilette, especially in the summer, when the water seems to be extra cold. But sadly the Momster keeps us in our gated community where we have no access to the powder room.
ReplyDeleteWoos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
That is why we keep the lids down.:) XO
ReplyDeleteUmmmm...just put the lid down....
ReplyDeleteToo funny! Our lids are always down for that very reason and the ones on the toilets are too!
ReplyDeleteNone of our cats drink from the toilets because we leave the lids down to prevent it. My client Ms. G had a cat who loved to drink from the toilet and she'd go flush it once a day on purpose to keep the water fresh. It's simple, they love fresh water, and assume running water, even in a toilet, means fresh water.
ReplyDeleteOf course, since you have fountains and turn on the faucets, you can easily close toilet lids and he won't be deprived.
Drinking from the toilet is the best way to was down your own turd after you ate it.
ReplyDeleteMom and Dad always keep the toilet seat down so we don't know what t-water taste like. But we think it must be a delicacy, like fine wine. XOX Lucy
