Dearest Auntie HiC
I don’t mind sharing the “limelight” with Rocky & Cali, but just as a reminder, I was the ** “OG” Kat on Harland Hill.
The following message is brought to all my friends, with sincere appreciation by me, Kat! 😹
❤️ Kat
Dearest Kat that was a very kind diary entry.
Please tell Auntie what **OG STANDS FOR
MUCH LOVE
Auntie HiC
**It is used to mean the best, like GOAT (Greatest Of All Time)!
Kat you are for sure the Greatest of all time...because of your bravery you paved the way to the heart of Mom and Dad for Cali and Rocky. Your loving A HiC

I've been unexpectedly MIA
Bryan and I are thankful to be on THIS side of the horrid Christmas Eve Present from his brother, who shared it with everyone!!
We were invited for Lasagna which was yummy...but upon arriving we discovered his brother WAS SICK with some evil germ. They should have canceled till they were well.
Bryan had it by the 26th I had it by the 29th.. We went to Urgent Care on Dec 31 diagnosed (thankful not Covid) with an evil😈 respiratory/viral
infection that, to quote the doctor, "has to run it course of 7-10 days"!! Oh Joy
We were told there are all kinds of viruses, Covid, RSV, and Flu raging now. If you are invited somewhere...inquire about the health of the hosts or better yet JOIN IN VIA
FB or ZOOM.
Yesterday about mid morning we both started feeling a bit jus a bit, better.

Today is Poetic Thursday hosted by our pals Teddy and Angel Sammy at Two Spoiled Cats
My attempt at Haiku
Pandas are adorable
Dining on bamboo all day
Montane* regions are their home
*The giant panda lives exclusively in six montane regions in a few Chinese provinces at elevations of up to 3,000 m (9,800 ft).
I hope you are both soon feeling a lot better soon. Our neighbour has had a respiratory infection for 2 weeks. We were supposed to be seeing them at Christmas and New Year but told them not until he is well again. He rang yesterday to say he was feeling a lot better so we could go down for drinks in a couple of days. Then he started coughing and wheezing on the phone so Ivor told him to forget about it until he is 100% well.
ReplyDeleteCute Haiku for cute pandas.
Oh no, so sorry you both got sick. My daughter was saying yesterday that her brother in laws kids got her sick for Christmas. Feel better soon and Happy New Year.

ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you are getting a bit better after that bout of 'bogginess'! YAM xx
The husband brought something home from one of the places he's been working at. Mine was worse. But, we still have it and have had it for about 2 weeks.
ReplyDeleteKat you are an amazing kitty. We were glad to see the video of you playing with that colorful string. But we were certainly very sorry to hear your aunt and uncle have been so seriously ill. We have lots of prayers going for them to get over this.
ReplyDeleteWell, that is a major bummer. Glad you saw a doctor and know what you are dealing with. Hopefully it will pass fairly quickly so you can get back to life as normal.
ReplyDeleteI am glad you are feeling a bit better but I will be happy happy when that virus is kicked to the curb completely for you both. So many people sick with upper respiratory infections currently. Hoping that every hour today takes you further away from the "evil germ!" Hugs to you both.
ReplyDeleteYour Haiku is true that pandas are adorable. Very interesting about where the Giant Pandas live. Had no idea they are high in the mountains.
You ARE fabulous, Kat!
ReplyDeleteCecilia, I'm glad you and Bryan are feeling better. I'm still a bit congested, but much better, knock on wood. Sending healing energy that you're both 100 percent soon!
ICK...we're glad you are feeling better. That was a cute video and great poem.
ReplyDeleteOops, here we go again! So sorry your holidays were sick-o-days, some nasty elf fell off his shelf, ran round the room, shared all his gloom ... bah humbug! Here's to a healthy New Year ... and of course, do love your Salute To The Pandas!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute video from Kat and we love your haiku. You would think that people would have learned not to share their germs after all we did to protect each other from Covid. We're glad to hear you are both on the mend.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute video, Kat! We are so happy that you and Bryan are feeling better, Cecilia. Being sick is so not fun and especially during the busy holiday season.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie you are Kat...and definitely Top Cat of your home!
ReplyDeleteFeel Better soon C & B!!!
hugs,
Beth and the Girls
Very cute, but not so cute your present from brother-in-law. I hope you are 100% very soon. A zoom call when in the throes of these colds and the like is an excellent idea. I know people don’t want to disappoint but better than the consequences. Feel better dear friend! :) sending hugs!
ReplyDeleteLovely haiku and fun kitty video ~ do hope yiou feel better ~ 'Tis the season ' of colds and flus ~ hugs,
ReplyDeleteHugs to you Cecilia and Angel Madi ~ ^_^
Wishing you good health, laughter and love in your days,

Yes Kat you were and you still are The Best. we all love you. thanks for the smiles, I needed them. So sorry you got that bug and I had it too. RSV is the one we have to worry about. doc says over 80 or under 2 it is as dangerous as covid
ReplyDeleteWe are so sorry you were so sick. We have to tell you that the same thing happened here. The youngest grand was just starting with a cold on Christmas Eve and by two days after Christmas Day the whole family started to fall one by one. Miserable head cold and sore throat and fever and whatever. No Covid, just a lot of misery:(. Feel better.

Lovely January header!
ReplyDeleteKat, you are such a special dude! Dang, the sickies that you were invited to catch is no fun. I hope you're mostly better now. We don't go much of anywhere so we're mostly safe I guess. Thanks for joining Angel Brian's Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
ReplyDeleteKat is a cutie. I am sorry you were both sick. That is awful that the party didn't get changed. Good job on the haiku. XO
ReplyDeleteOh good gosh, Cecilia- we're sorry you both got it good, but are happy you're both on the mend.
ReplyDeleteI loved hearing Kat speak dictating his diary! He'll get Likes for me for sure. He's handsome!! And Auntie HiC...Cecilia I am very concerned for you and Bryan. This is a terrible consequence of an invitation that should have been changed. Bless you both and I hope to goodness both of you are way up there in the upswing. Take good care, dears.
ReplyDeleteGood haiku. And even better diary entry by Kat, so sweet. I've been sick for 2 weeks with the flu and Jeff's battling his second round of pneumonia. Somehow my son has stayed well, even living in the same house with us. May you get better soon and not get sick again.
ReplyDeleteA pox on sick people who don't inform everyone they are sick.
ReplyDeleteKat is amazing.
