Thankful and Thoroughly Poetic Thursday #199

  Thankful Thursday hosted by

Dearest Auntie HiC

It is I Rocky, your ginger nephew.  Mom, as you know,  retired teacher.  She and I have been discussing a new fun series...so here is our pitch...

In an attempt to dispel the rumor that ginger kitties lack intelligence, I’ve taken it upon myself to begin a series I like to call, “Fun Facts with Rocky”!

I will research for fun, interesting facts, and share them with you. Do what you will with this knowledge! 😹

But remember, Mom always says, “People can steal your car, your identity, & even your heart, but no one can ever steal your EDUCATION!” 😺

So, let’s get started:

Jumpin' Catfish Mom are you pulling my leg?

We both are very thankful for the opportunity to share these fun facts...
they will pop up randomly and we hope you all enjoy them.

❤️

Rocky da Teacher's Pet
Rocky Auntie HiC thinks this is a most wonderful idea.  I know all our
friends love learning new things.
Lovingly

Today is Poetic Thursday hosted by our pals Teddy and Angel Sammy at Two Spoiled Cats

As I entered the store,
I noticed upon her back, she has a sack!
I blinked my eyes👀
What I saw must be in my head.
I gave it shake
looked again.
For Pete's sake, it was no mistake.
It was a goat,
I said to myself
whatever floats her boat!!

  1. MOL!!! Our mom is over here rolling on the floor laughing about there being hope for some humans!!

Angel Carmine told me (Giovanni) that HE figured out how to use the complicated puzzle toy the mom bought LONG BEFORE Tylan did, and Tylan is a SIAMESE - they are supposed to be very intelligent. MOL!!

  6. You Go Rocky, I have to say I never thought about jelly fish having brains, but now I know they do not and it makes sense that they float around stinging people without brains that are in the water with them... we know how smart you are, and await your next tidbit for us

  9. I certainly am laughing at that photo in your cute poem. I'm sure sooner or later I'll see some nutcase in one of our stores carrying a goat or a sheep or a cow. Rocky, you are a very intelligent Ginger cat. Precious knows this just by looking at your pictures.

  10. Now that idea about jellyfish and humans really made us laugh!

  11. I am intrigued by jellyfish and it never occured to me that they did not have a brain. I did think to myself that they must have some kind of an electrical field or something like that. So now I am going to google them. About the goat... I wasn't sure what the heck was on her back. So now I know... it seems a bit weird. Enjoyed your poem! Fascinating about the jellies! Rocky this will be fun... live and learn!

  12. Interesting fun fact and yes, that is wonderful that there is hope for some humans I know.
And I thought it was bad that people take their dogs shopping with them at Walmart. I've never seen anyone carrying a goat on their back before. I can't help wondering why they would want to.

  15. Your poem made Mom giggle. What a great idea, Rocky. We love learning new things. Jelly Fish give our mom the creeps! We think a good portion of those in America have no brains, and honestly we don’t see any hope for them at all. 17. Rocky, that was a very FUN fact about the jellyfish - so there might still be hope for some of those brainless around us.

Who ever thought a goat could be a support animal - aren't they just kids?

  21. Rocky, my sister has a cat that looks just like you and, get this, his name is Rocky too! Loved the info about the Jelllyfish. How interesting. Look how well they get along without a brain. Too bad our politicians aren't so lucky - and they supposedly have brains.

  23. What a fun new series your facts will be, even if they are only once in a while. I'm sure you'll enjoy featuring them and we'll enjoy reading them.

Nice poem! Yes, if a goat is your thing, go for it.
