Thoroughly Poetic Thursday #204

Today is Poetic Thursday hosted by our pals Teddy and Angel Sammy at Two Spoiled Cats

This week's photo challenge

So many scenarios ran through my mind's eye when I saw this....so I went with an imaginary conversation years later between a Mom and an older child..
I will neither confirm nor deny that there is a photo like this here.  It does not have horns or a double chin just a precious smile!!

Bath time is fun,

Mommy is making all kinds of faces.

Just for her here is a big grin, and a double chin

fast forward 16 years later!!

😱😨

Now a teenager he screams, what a disgrace

Mom if I ever see these photos in public places,

I will declare they are fake.

Made by my mom, using AI

It was a mistake!!

Lovingly your little

😇

  1. What an adorable little face, all smiles & not the least bit concerned about his/her appearance. Just living & loving in moment. Great poem!

  5. I have no children, but I am laughing at your poem. Before and after, that would be me if someone took pictures like that when I was a baby.

  6. That photo made me laugh. I'm sure there are similar ones around here that my children would have been mortified if I had shared them when they were teens. But now that they are older I think they really enjoy seeing them and looking back at themselves.

  7. my son is and was mortified that when he was 18 months old, on Easter Sunday, a little girl had a pink dress and a matching pink coat with a bonnet. we were in the nursery at church. I put the coat and bonnet on Dan and took a photo. he made the most adorable girl... now I wonder where that photo is, dozens of albums to look trhough

  17. Ha Ha - great poem. It reminds Mom of a story about the boy twin J. His mother has a video of him at age 4 imitating a dance twin sister C learned about the rubber dolly - it is hysterical to watch but he cringes every time it show up:)
