Thank you to our Hostess
Thanks for tuning in to this episode of “Fun Facts with Rocky”.
What anxieties or fears do you experience?
Did you know humans are born with 2 innate fears: the fear of falling and loud noises? Humans develop all their other fears & phobias due genetics, environment, and personal experiences.
Heck, I’m afraid of my own shadow, so I can surely sympathize.
I found some rather interesting human phobias.
Pogonophobia (Fear of Beards)
Decidophobia (Fear of making decisions)
Chaetophobia (Fear of hair),
Vesti phobia (Fear of clothing)
Ergophobia (Fear of work)
Eisoptrophobia (Fear of Mirrors)
Deipnophobia (Fear of dining with others)
Phobophobia (Fear of Phobias)
The last one reminded Mom of this Charlie Brown classic:
Just remember, it’s OK to be afraid of something. Fear is a natural response to perceived danger or threats, and can help us stay safe❣️
❤️ Rocky
Mol mol Nephew Rocky my grand kitty Ginger Frisco is afraid of his own shadow too.
Auntie HiC sometimes dreams she is falling and she is fearful of fires.
I adore your photo and love how you are sitting.
OMCs I don't think I have seen the Charlie Brown Classic but one thing for sure
Lucy had a fine command of the language of phobias.
MOL MOL
Lovingly Auntie HiC
Breaking news

ReplyDeleteI think my biggest fear is heights.
ReplyDeletemy list of fears is so long I can't list them here. Lucy word pantophobia sounds good for me... I can't even stand to see people on TV or in movies standing on high places, it makes my legs and stomach hurt even though I am not there..
ReplyDeleteDeer Rocky, I have a fear of loud noises, and if anybody besides Lynn. Lynn on the other hand is terrified beyond words of anything higher than 10 ft off the ground. The one thing I'm definitely not afraid of is food! Love Precious
ReplyDeleteI do remember that Charlie Brown movie. Lucy sure knew her phobias. I wonder if I could fake ergophobia and never have to go back to work again? Then of course I would probably develop some form of fear of boredom.

ReplyDeleteI gave up on fear a very long time ago. It uses up too much energy. Doesn't mean I don't get nervous from time to time, which is a very different thing, as all the senses go on high alert and prepares one to react. I wonder if quite often, folk misinterpret natual nervousness for fear. The first is a biological reaction, the second is the mental effect. And boy, do we have the skill to make mountains from worm casts... YAM xx
Fears also develop during a lifetime and with us dogs can sometimes be trained away.
ReplyDeleteI have a fear of fire and of heights.
ReplyDeleteLove Charlie Brown and Lucy! I am more of a catastrophizer. I have a fear of having my blood pressure taken. Seriously, I think I have a whole lot of fears. I think fun facts will be... well, fun!
ReplyDeleteThat sure is an interesting list of phobias. Walter's biggest fear is of missing a meal! BOL!
ReplyDeleteI have a fear of heights. Just seeing them on TV makes my stomach lurch. I am also mildly claustrophobic. I cannot go in an elevator on my own. Someone else must be in there. If they get out, I have to get out too!
ReplyDeleteAwesome photo of you sweet kitty ~ we all have fears ~ hugs,
ReplyDeleteHugs to you Cecilia and Angel Madi ~
