Dear Auntie HiC,

Thankful Thursday for the first  responders in our County

Our area has received very heavy rains recently, resulting in flooding & damage to property.

Our vet’s office was one of the affected businesses. Fortunately they only had minimal damage, and all animals & humans were safe.

This poor pup had to be rescued from
the river. Excellent work by our local Fire Services.

He looks a little embarrassed by all the attention. ❤️

We love a happy ending!

❤️ Kat, Rocky, & Cali

  4. Happy Birthday Marlu.
So happy that dog was rescued. Poor pup must have been terrified.
I think that couple eating in the rain need a bigger umbrella.

  6. Mom says when she was a teen Shakeys Pizza was the place to go. It's fun thinking back to those days and how much lighter life was. Now there is so much more bad in the world it is sad. Great memories though!

  10. Happy Birthday, Marlu... Hope it is all you want it to be and more! I saw the rescue of the pup yesterday but I don't know where. Happy they rescued him and thankful to them. That flooding looks all too familiar. Good news that the vet's office had minimal damage and peeps and pets were all good.

  14. "Into each life a little rain must fall" can be very much overdone - as you know with all the flooding! We have a need for some rain but would prefer the kind that gently soaks into the ground rather than washing things away!! Love the poem - it's PERFECT!

    Hugs, Pam
