Happy Tuesday

We thank our Hostess Sandee at Comedy Plus

This heart shaped red bud leaf has been on my door mat
for several days...even stayed there when our yard guys blew off the porch.

Angel Madi loved sitting at this door
watching birds and squirrels and leaves dance across the porch. I think maybe Angel Madi stopped by to say Hi!!
This makes me HAPPY
There were two photos like this...one with Madi sitting back
then she walked to the door.  Can't find that one so I added it
to this one

A few weeks ago, while on a morning walk, Dandy Duke
found something heart shaped.  I told him I thought that was a sign from his angel siblings dropping by to say Hi.

Eye appointment update

My optometrist gave me RX eye drop for swollen and sore tear duct 7/31.  To help with my symptoms til yesterday's appt. with ophthalmologist.   Within 3 or 4 days, symptoms cleared up as did the pressure on the corner of my eye.  I had no more runny eye.  Antibiotic drop helped clear the tear duct.  Today no sign of tear duct blockage.  Dr. Riske said I was having an allergic reaction to preservatives in RX eye drops. Surprise the RX tombramycin/with steroid had preservatives in it.
I've been taking Claritin for itching which helped.  My face and outside of eyes are red and a bit swollen.  He told me to only use eye drops that were preservative free.  They are the kind that are in a plastic vial with twist off top.  I have Optive Omega drops to use now for a week nothing else.  He expects the itching and redness to go away soon.  If not, I go back.  Thank you for you good wishes.

Always in issue when the remedy is the problem! Here's to the remainder of the eye issue clearing up. And the heart leaf is so pretty, maybe it needs to be framed! YAM xx

  2. That happened to me once, I was allergic to an artificial tear product given by the opthamologist, and had such a severe reaction, that you could have gone shopping with the swollen bags under my eyes, and I looked like a red racoon! The doc was kind of embarrassed, as that had never happened to any of his patients before...go figure. I have a whole slew of weird allergies, and some that started in my middle aged adult years. Sheesh!
Glad your eye was doing better, and hopefully the trouble will not happen again.
I love that that leaf decided to stay...as a message or a sign, perhaps.

  3. The leaf was a lovely sign from Angel Madi.
When Ivor had his cataracts done he was given four types of preservative free eye drops. When they finished after a month he was given a follow up bottle and told if he needed more to make sure they were always preservative free. They are more expensive and don't last as long once opened, but I always keep a bottle for emergencies.

  4. I had that problem once where the drops I was using caused a reaction that made things worse.

  5. I'm glad your eye is clearing up without any further intervention such as surgery. I've got some preservative-free drops from my optometrist, but I'd like to find something a bit more budget friendly OTC. I hope yours do the trick!

  6. Love the double image of your sweet angel. So glad to hear that your eye is on the mend and exactly why it happened. It was good that they can diagnose why it happened and how to avoid it in the future. I love the heart-shaped leaf and if I were you I would preserve it and keep it permanently at the front door.
