Dear Auntie HiC,
We heard a loud commotion on the deck last night & assumed it was the raccoons. We enjoy watching them.
Here, kitty, kitty, kitty!
When noise became louder, Mom knew it was a bear! 🐻
She flipped on the flood lights just in time to see him climbing up the deck post.
He wasn’t very big & was bit clumsy. 😹
The bird feeders are taken in every night & as soon as he realized there were no snacks he sauntered away. Always a treat to be visited by our 🐻 neighbors.

OMCs Cali, Kat and Rocky...I love how you all gathered on the table to
let Da Bear let you know he was on your Turf
Auntie HiC giggled when he got stuck trying to get over the rail.
Lovingly Auntie HiC

ReplyDeleteAwwwwww... What an amazing caller to have! I am glad you were on the inside of the glass and Bear was on the outside... but I did feel for it a bit. Looked to be a bit of a runt (perhaps orphaned)... hope it found its supper somewhere! Hugs and whiskeries, YAM-aunty xxx
Wow - glad we don't have bears here. Our bird feeders would be easy pickings even for a clymsy bear. I reckon you felines could give the poor bear some lessons in elegant climbing.
ReplyDeleteoh my... a real bear a-beared? we never saw one... can you ask him please if he would like to live in france?
ReplyDeleteLol, I laughed at him getting over the railing too! But that's the kind of visitor I'd rather not have!!
ReplyDeleteThank goodness your railing is still standing! He must have been so disappointed that there were no snacks for him.
ReplyDeleteThat bear must have been quite fun to watch. I had to laugh at his clumsiness when he was trying to get down off the railing
ReplyDeleteBears always seem a bit clumsy and aloof but how cool to have one right there.
ReplyDeleteMs. Kit, Kat, Cali and Rocky, makes me furry glad I only git squirrels invade my catio and a few burdies! Lynn doesn't mind any wildlife we have here, but she's not got bears! Precious
ReplyDeleteWell, since Smokey got fired from his forest service duty he may have been looking for new work ... neighborhood watch?
ReplyDeletePriceless moment... what a goof! Very interesting and fun entertainment for you three Kitties.
ReplyDeleteWhat a scary sight to see a bear up close like that! We're glad he realized there wasn't anything for him to eat up there and took off.
ReplyDeleteWowsers, that is one silly bear! We loved watching him sniffing and sniffing in search of the bird feeders BOL!

Hugs to you Cecilia and Angel Madi ~ xo
Wow! It's very smart your mama brings in the snacks at night, no need to encourage the neighbors to actually visit, right?
ReplyDeleteOops, it hit publish before I was done. Anyway, you all look very curious about the situation and I thank you for joining Feline Friday.

ReplyDeleteWe love the “beachy” header Auntie HiC❣️
ReplyDeleteA Bear! That sounds scary, even if he was a little bear, he was still a lot bigger than me! And if he was a baby, you know his big Mama was close by!! No bears here, please, no bears here, no bears here...Xena
ReplyDeleteI like most wildlife, but not bears!
ReplyDeleteHe is much bigger than a raccoon. :) XO
