Very thankful today for such a fun medical facility.
I had my annual fasting lab on Halloween...thankfully the tech was not dressed like Dracula. The lab and the reception area were very festive. In the lobby, there was a table set up displaying entries from each department for Halloween. Patients were asked to vote for their favorite. I voted for all of them.

The first entry on the left with red table clothe was the lab. I got a giggle out of their vials of blood. They used different colors of markers with colored tops.
Thankful my blood was not lime green. MOL BOL LOL

As many of you know, our first family pet Toto the mighty mini
Dachshund. I don't know why (and maybe I don't want to know)
but Toto's paws always smelled like Fritos to me. I didn't go around sniffin' them but he was often putting them in my face just like the photo.
That was a fun display of all those decorated pumpkins!

Blood work isn't really painful, it is just a hassle fasting and then waiting to eat or drink anything but water until the appt. What a fun display to make the trip a bit more enjoyable.

At least you had a fun place to go to have your blood sucked out of your body. And it wasn't by a vampire. The poems cute. And it's fun to know about the smell of your puppy's paws. Sometimes you just get a foot in the face and you have to take it don't you.
ReplyDeleteThat is great they were in the spirit of Halloween. Glad your blood was not lime green! All the kitties that were our family during our married life had frito feet... except one. Most of the vets said it was from sweaty paw pads. Z Cat had frito feet :) I did sniff them often!

What a fun pumpkin display. My ObGyn Office had the same thing. That's a perfect poem for that picture.
ReplyDeleteI am in a short PAUSE moment, trying to visit a few friends and love the playing dogs Pause. ha ha they sure had a lot of different ways to color the pumpkins. I might have to vote for all too... the hospital bob was in does it, we were there in October once.
