Thankful the critters heeded my warning to stay off Chipmunk Highway which was covered with sleet, ice and freezing rain. January 30. They constantly run back and forth all day long.
Also very thankful we HAD no where to go. More on the wintry event on tomorrow on Nature, Final Feature Feline Friday tomorrow.
Today is Poetic Thursday hosted by our pals Teddy and Angel Sammy at Two Spoiled Cats
Today's photo challenge

So glad to see Ms Kit, Kat, Cali and Rocky have electricity again. That was way too long in this bitter cold. And another storm coming too soon. Good poem and I enjoyed this peaceful meaningful photo.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad power had been restored for them!
ReplyDeleteHurrah for snow melter. I couldn't be without mine!
And your poem is spot on. Youth definitely is wasted on the young. 🙃

ReplyDeleteWinter's wily ways!!! So glad all are safe and warm... YAM xx
So happy everyBODY is safe and warm! That was one heck of a storm. It's hard to complain about going down to 33° So nice of you to alert all the critters to stay off Chipmunk Highway! It looks crunchy icy there... that poor plant on the deck😟 Seriously, glad you two are warm and safe.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear power was restored for our friends in Georgia. It's always good to not leave the house when the weather is so bad and I'm glad your salt worked to keep walking safe. Sometimes when the weather is bad we don't go get our mail. Our driveway is as long as a football field so the walk is long. We don't let it pile up for more than a couple of days. We wouldn't want the mail person to call for a welfare check on us. BOL!
ReplyDeleteWe only lost power for 2 hours. But, we have a whole house generator so it kicked on. Love your poem.
