Thoroughly Poetic and Thankful Thursday #252

Today is Poetic Thursday hosted by our pals Teddy and Angel Sammy at Two Spoiled Cats

Today's photo challenge

This photo reminded me of a true story about Me at Three.

I'm told I was quite happy there was no crying

**************************

When I was a wee lass,

oh about three

I decided being hair stylist was for me

I had no customers.

So I looked high and low

and OMDs there was

Lady and her puppies waiting for me.

Lady was my  Annie Ma's (maternal grandmother) Collie.

They were sleeping and quite as could be

So they my customers would be.

Needless to say, my profession was C U T

short when Annie Ma found  me.

She squealed NOT with GLEE

Where did you get the scissors???

give them to me which I did with a fist full of Collie furs.

*********************

I don't remember this but I was told the first thing I said:

"Was Lady and her puppies did not move".

Thankful Thursday hosted

Today at 9 am I will be sitting my my dentist's chair for hours and hours

I have to have a  very old bridge replaced. Prep work begins today to replace what I am calling

THE Great Extension BRIDGE

I will be very thankful when this is over

  1. Oh Dear Me, I’m sure you were crying just like the little girl pictured here. So sad, but still absolute hilarious. What a funny memory. I’m sure you were never allowed near near

  2. Oops, wrong customer type! Doggies go to the groomer, not the hairdresser, LOL! Great poem!
Hope the dentist provides headphones with your choice of entertainment with them...our specialist dentist does that, for the few times we had to go there for root canals...(Ugh, anyways!)
