Connor D. Chipmunk
lives in my yard
Connor is always in a hurry
scurrying to and fro along this
stone wall.
We fondly call Chipmunk Interstate.
One day to my surprise, I looked out the dining room window.
I squealed with delight
Connor all stretched out on the back of Troy T. Turtle.
I quickly grabbed my iPhone hoping to snap this adorable
duo,
while the light was right.
Lo and behold I gave Connor such a
FRIGHT
he quickly disappeared out of
SIGHT

Dear Auntie HiC,
Rocky has always known this is one of my favorite beds, and he has NEVER shown any interest in it until a couple nights ago!
Well, for some reason Rocky decided it was HIS bed! I was flabbergasted to say the least! 🙀
I considered jumping on him & showing him who’s the BOSS, but a little voice inside my head said, “Be a good brother”. (Also Mom was watching & she would have had a hissy fit!) 😹
The only alternative left was to nudge my way as close as possible & at least use my bed as a pillow!

As it turns out, it was the best plan of action. Rocky was happy, I was happy, and most importantly, Mom
was happy! 😻
We’ve decided the bed is big enough for both us❣️
Life is all about finding a balance and making compromises.

So nice to meet your chipmunk friend! We are her excited when out chipmunk (Chipper) stops by to fill his mouth with sunflower seeds. It’s amazing to see him cram them in. Sometimes his mouth is so pooched out he barely scamper off! Always fun to watch him.

What a sweet story of Connor and Troy. We don't see a lot of turtles in our yard but we do see plenty of chippers!

Katie Isabella and I are so glad you boys dream about us. You know we dream about you too. We like the poem with Connor the Chipmunk. Of course if that chipmunk was here, you know what I would want to do don't you Rocky.
ReplyDeleteWe rarely get to see chipmunks around here, there are some at Gramma's house and up north. We love seeing them. They are much better looking and more fun than boring squirrels.
