Awww Monday with Kat and Kit

 Hostess Sandee at Comedy Plus

Thank you

Dear Auntie HiC,

Mom and I recently finished reading another wonderful book, The Travelling Cat Chronicles by Hiro Arikawa. The book was about two of Mom’s favorite subjects, cats & Japan.

Mom was chosen to spend a month in Japan as a part of a teacher cultural exchange program the summer of 1991. She traveled extensively throughout Japan, visiting Japanese schools and staying with a Japanese family for several days. It was a wonderful experience.
The following school year she had a Japanese student in her class, Fusako. Mom has maintained a long and meaningful relationship with Fusako, and she even visited Mom and Dad after she returned to Japan!”

Two more books we’d like to recommend:

If you have read any of these books, we’d love to hear your thoughts about them! Also, we’d appreciate any book suggestions from you!

❤️ Kat

Dearest Nephew Kat please tell Mom that Auntie HiC smiled a great big Cheshire Cat Smile while posting the wonderful series of photos.

Lovingly Auntie HiC

Oooops! Part of a sentence was omitted. This how it should read, “ Mom has maintained a long and meaningful relationship with Fusako, and she even visited Mom and Dad after she returned to Japan!”

What wonderful memories, Kit... travel brings so much joy and expansion to life, does't it? As does reading. I'm afraid I don't have any cat-related titles to share, although plenty of doggy ones

  5. Isn't that wonderful? How great you have had this amazing experience of visiting Japan and also hosting Japanese students. We hosted German students years ago. It also was a wonderful experience. Thank you for the book titles too. Hugs, Denise

  6. We lived in the orient for two years but never made it to Japan......it's a beautiful place though with wonderful, friendly people as most of the orient has.

  9. Mom has never been into books. She was always in the top reading group in school but never has had interest in reading books she wasn't told to read. Glad you enjoyed Japan. Mom spent a lot of time there when she was flying. It is a very different place.
