Dear Friends,

I, Madi(son) D. Cat and my mom have a blog Madi and Mom (http://dowhnomeinc.blogspot.com) all about ME.  When we started blogging in 2009, we had no clue the joy it would bring to us and the many friends we would make all over this world.  There are animal bloggers in every corner of this big world.

We have a wonderful circle of animal friend bloggers and we are always doing fun virtual things like having dances, rodeos, animal Olympics, picnics, Halloween costume judging and June 2016 we are actually planning a retreat at a central location in the USA so we can meet each other in the furs.

This Halloween my long time gal pal Dory and her bros at Dory’s Backyard (http://dorysbackyard.blogspot.com)   came up with a real life event.  Dory will host a blog hop on October 30^th –November 1^st for everyone to display what TREAT they gave their Shelter.

No Tricks JUST TREATS for Shelters.  She has asked all her furry friends do a special treat for their local shelter.    On last night’s news our hearts were touched to see that our very own WAKE CO. SPCA made room in their shelter for furry friends affected by the floods in South Carolina.  Enclosed please find our TREAT, a check for $25.00, to be used as you see fit to help take care of all the animals at your beautiful and loving shelter.

WooHoo last Friday FFHT on the Eve of Halloween WTG Murphy and Stanley

today's phrase is in bold orange italics...below

I was having a quiet moment in the pumpkin patch, 

when all of a sudden Mickey popped out of a pumpkin.

He scared all my lush gray furs and made them stand up.
Worst of all he called me 'fraidy cat.

After that, I never turned my back on another pumpkin!!

THURSDAY TALE AND NAT'L CAT DAY

Mom told me to be cute...I told her I was always cute.....besides I'm busy communing with my 

sun puddle.

 Then she said well do something cute

so I pulled out all the stops.CUTE METER IS ON 10+ .  I Showed my gray chin patch, my folded kitty feets and my tummy all at once.

she best be careful what she requests!!

Today is National Cat Day...
Mom is supposed to tell 5 ways she shows me love....so here goes

1. Breakfast is served promptly at 6:00 am

2. 8 hours later at 2:30 pm she feeds me an itty bitty lupper (lunch and supper).  How itty bitty you might ask?  She divides a can of Science Diet into 8 sections.  I get one section hardly enough to even bother with...but I humor her

3. She brushes me every single night

4. She plays toss the catnip toys to the cat...

aka ME...after her supper again I humor her
Mom is getting good at fetching!!

5. 10 pm she gives me an itty bitty helping of kibble to keep me from starving during the night.

Note from Mom: during the summer we have a sunblock shade that we use on the

sky light to keep the sun from making it too hot upstairs.  As soon as fall arrives,

the shade is raised and Madi is happy.  This was her first day in her sun puddle
