According to our Whimsical Calendar today is
'Curling is Cool Day'. When I told Madi this she said she would curl her
paws in honor of the day. Then of course I had to explain to her
that Curling is a sport.....that didn't go well.
There are all kinds of trees in our neighborhood.
I love the bark on the River Birch

The Cat Tree
The blue tree
The Crepe Myrtle Tree with cinnamon colored bark
one of our favorite
The bare winter tree with green moss
The Valentine Tree with lots of red Hearts
and finally the trees clinging to the bank of Crabtree Creek (about to crest) in hopes that the mighty current that will not rip them up sending them down the class 1 rapids........
This was taken several weeks ago after several days of hard rain...
The creek is about a 2' from the retaining wall.

Hi Madi & Mom,
ReplyDeleteWe like your version of curling Madi, it's much cuter than the sport. The trees are all lovely. I really like the river birch, it is different from the birch trees here. Our favorite of course is the cat tree (we didn't know cats grew on trees). Did we say that? No way!
Glad to hear you are having some warmer weather. Our days are in the low fifties but the nights have been in the mid twenties. We spent the weekend doing things around the house.
Purrs & Hugs,

HI Madi!
ReplyDeleteMy Dad has really gotten into this Curling stuff. Mom watched some of it on TV and thought it was kinda strange. All of those winter trees were really neat. The one of you in the cat tree was the best, but since we're kitties I am kinda biased your way!

Hey what color is the Crepe Myrtle when it blooms?? We like Madi's curling too. Sophie says "She gets the GOLD!!!!!" Hands down.

Josie and the pussycats!
p.s. hope the river stays low...
Hi Madi, what a cool tree you have! We loved the Valentine Tree with the beautiful hearts - we have never seen a Valentine tree before.
ReplyDeleteWe love trees too - although we much prefer them in the summer - sometimes in the frost and fog they can look spooky.
Curling is a sport that is quite popular in Scotland!
love and kisses

We like the cat tree the bestest Madi!!

You're brilliant (for a cat), Madi and I've been saying this for a while now. Way to curl the feetsies. If you hadn't, you'd be reduced to the maid with the curly hair. Yikes. Beautiful blue tree...
ReplyDeleteTwink!
Those are all great trees but we like the cat tree the best - because that is where Madi is! And even if she got curling wrong we still think she looks very cute!!
ReplyDeleteWe enjoyed seeing all those trees, Madi...we are most partial to the cat tree, of course.
ReplyDeleteHi, Madi!
ReplyDeleteYes! your idea about curling is much better than that of the sport!
Beautiful trees!
Kisses and hugs
