Thursday Theme Song....

IN HONOR (?) OF THE RECENT SNOW STORM ON THE EAST COAST, TODAY'S THURSDAY THEME SONG IS

'LET IT SNOW'

We thank Hootin Anni for sponsoring this fun Meme.
Get you coat, gloves and hat here we go.

The weather outside is frightful

But the fire is so delightful
and since we've no place to go
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
(fireplace picture taken by Mom at The Grove Park Inn)
Well, it doesn't show signs of stopping
But we've got some corn for popping
And the lights are turned way down low
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow......
When we finally kiss goodnight
How I hate going out in the storm
But as long as you hold me tight
Oh, all the way home I'll be warm
The fire is slowing dying
But my dear we are still goodbye-ing
And as long as you love me so
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

The day after the great blizzard....LOL
Now here is a video of the late great Dean Martin
singing
LET IT SNOW

  3. Oh, we so love Dean Marin's voice. I'll be humming that song for days.

You did get some snow, that first photo does look like a blizzard. I always love the morning after a snowfall when the sun makes it all glisten like in your last photo. We had snow last night but the day was gray and snowy so I'll enjoy your sun.

PS, my little ferals have been hard to get photos of but I have one for today.

  7. Aren't you glad you're an indoor cat, Miss Madi? No going out in the snow and getting those tootsies all wet and cold for you. You get to enjoy the good parts, without having to actually experience the bad. Lucky girl!

Love Dean Martin, too. Your Mom may remember his TV show. My family never missed it.

  8. I loved the snowy pictures at your home, Madi!

Dean Martin did the best version of the song "Let it Snow"! I can just see the twinkle in his eyes while he sung it on his show!

Thanks for sharing your Winter Wonderland with us!

  10. That's one of my mom's favoritest Christmas songs, Madi! In fact, sometimes she even sings it in the middle of SUMMER! I luved your snow pictures. And guess what? The weatherman said we might finally gets some snow tonight or tomorrow. But only maybe 2 - 6 inches. Not as much as you got. But it's gonna be COLD! Our high tomorrow is only gonna be EIGHT! BRRRRR! I better get mom to go get us some corn for popping.

  19. Madi,

I saw dogs wearing clothes, Do you need to?

Tell your mom not to sing too fervently. We asked for good weather so we could have Christmas in the park. We got a drought for 6 weeks.
