Meet My Cabinet: Madam Finn

TODAY MOM AND I ARE TICKLED PINK TO
FEATURE

IF YOU DON'T KNOW FINN CLICK ON HER NAME ABOVE TO MEET HER

DIRECTOR OF PARKS AND RECREATION
FINN IS EAGER TO HIT THE PARK TRAILS SHE SAYS LET'S GO
Take it away FINN

1. Please introduce yourself(selves), tell us your age and a very special
trait.

Hewwwow!  My name is Finn.  You can call me Finnackles.  I am 2 1/2
years young!  Momma says I am special all the time (when she says
this, she is rolling her eyes, I don't know what that means....)

2. If you had and alter ego, who would you like to be and why

I would like to be Barbwa Wawas.  I think I talk like her and I always
wanted my own tv show.

 3. What do you like best/least about where you live

I looooooove where we live because it is in an area called The Pine
Barrens, a large protected area of the woods.  And as you know, I love
visiting parks!  And there are just so many around here since the area
is protected.

The only thing I don't like is that I am so far away from my bf, Wally.

4. Who are some peeps/furiends you'd like to meet and why

OMD, I think it would be completely pawesome if we could have a
Blogville reunion.  I wish I knew Asta while she was a NYC dog, before
she moved to Budapest.  I think we would have had a lot of fun (read:
get into a lot of mischief) together.

 5. If you could give one piece of random advice what would it be?

Don't judge my underbite.

 6. What do you do for fun

I loooove fetch.  But only in the house.  My new thing is that I will
catch a ball and then just drop it.  Then Pops will throw me another
ball.  I catch it and then drop it.  He throws another
one....entertainment for hours I tell you.

7. What is the first thing you do each morning

STRETCH.

 8. What is the first thing you notice about a new furiend

What kind of pictures they are posting on their bloggies.  Sometimes I
can't read all the long posts, but looking at pictures I can handle.

9. Tell us how you came to live in your family and how you got your name.

Momma says that when she picked me up for the first time, she blurted
out the name "Finn."  She's a big Mark Twain fan, so she thinks
subconsciously it came from that.  Momma and Pops came and picked me
out from the shelter where I was living before their house when I was
2 months old.

10. What is your absolute favorite food

Pasta.  I am an Italian doggie at heart.

BONUS Question:  Since you are Director of Parks and Recreation,
Please tell us some of your favorite parks and what you like to do when you visit them.

I loooooove visiting parks.  Momma takes me to some historical ones
from time to time, so we have been Teddy Roosevelt's house called
Sagamore Hill (http://www.nps.gov/sahi/index.htm).  That's a good one.
I like going to places by the water, cause I like to splash splash
splash.  So, there's a nice marina on the south shore of Long Island
that I like going down to.  I get to go to the dog park from time to
time and sniff around with the other doggies.  That's a blast!  And
lastly, sometimes the peeps just take me for a walk in the woods, and
I love exploring somewhere new too.

Since it's winter now we haven't been doing too much visiting, but
when we do go, I like to explore this phenomenom called SNOW.  I like
to climb up and down all the snow piles.  Sometimes I just lay on the
snow.  Sometimes I bury my face in the snow.  It's pawesome.  I wish
there were more blizzards like Nemo!

FINN MOM AND I THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR EXCELLENT ANSWERS AND LOOK FORWARD TO VISITING LOTS OF PARKS WITH YOU AND YOU KNOW WHO THIS SPRING.
HUGS MADI YOUR BFFF

  3. It was great to get to know Finn a little better. She is a girl after my own heart where the snow is concerned. I could sit on a pile of snow for hours.

  6. Hi there Mayoress Madi, I am so glad that the importance of parks and recreation has been recognised by a cabinet post in Blogville. And who better to fill that post than the lovely Miss Finnacles. Dear Finn, if you came to live in the UK, no-one would notice any imperfections of dental alignment, you would be one amongst many!
I am delighted to say that a year long project restoring my local park, Duthie Park, to its original Victorian splendour is nearing completion. I wonder if it would be possible for Blogville to provide Finn with an expenses paid trip to Aberdeen later this Spring for the official opening ceremony?
