My buddy Sarge is a hard working K9...
so he decided to start a series called Work Wednesday.
I had no idea how much work goes on around me!!
Boy Sarge this new 'day' of yours has opened my eyes!!
Last Friday our neighbors had 87 a bunch of giant pines
removed from their front yard...
Thankfully most of the equipment was across the street
so I was able to snoopervise
the men at work
they get an A+ for a job well done and for
not hitting our mailbox post. What you cannot see below
is a bobCAT with a mouth full of limbs turning near our mailbox
LAST AND BY NO MEANS LEAST MOM DID A VERY HAPPY HUMMINGBIRD ARRIVAL DAY DANCE ON 4/9/15. THE LITTLE JEWELS ARRIVED EXACTLY THE SAME DAY THIS YEAR AS LAST AND THEY WERE HUNGRY
THOSE LITTLE JEWELS WORK VERY HARD
THEY JUST FLEW IN FROM WAY DOWN SOUTH
MOM IS ALL EXCITED ABOUT FEEDING THEM THIS YEAR
WE'VE ALREADY SPOTTED 3.
SHE IS TRYING TO FIND ANOTHER PURRFECT SPOT TO SET UP
ANOTHER FEEDER
MOM WILL BE WORKING REALLY HARD ALL SUMMER
TO KEEP THEM FED TOO!!
I love the hummingbirds, they are so beautiful and fun to watch. There is some hard work going on over there. I am tired just thinking about it. I think I will work hard taking a nap.

DeleteLove those little hummingbirds. Unfortunately, SHE usually visits Virginia in autumn or winter and misses them. You are very lucky. Your hard WORK is paying off.
ReplyDeleteYou are so lucky to have hummingbird TV. Have a wonderful Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly

It's so cool that you have hummingbird TV. We don't have them down here, but our family up in Tennessee used to have dozens visit at once. Does your human make her own hummingbird nectar for them? It's apparently pretty easy and better for them than the stuff with food coloring.
ReplyDeleteIt always is fascinating to watch tall trees being cut down. I love hummingbirds.
ReplyDeleteapaws apaws for that workers... I stopped my breath as I saw how close the tree came to your car in the photo...
ReplyDeleteIt's great to see your hummingbirds, even when we haven't such little birds here I can see them via your blog and that's a little like having them in my back yard too :o)

So glad that your hummingbirds are back. They are so much fun to watch. Glad those workers did wipe out your mail box. You all have a super day.
ReplyDeletei am glad those workers missed your mail box and the van sitting there to.. lots of work going on and more on the way... that is hard work keeping 2 bird houses... LOL MOL BOL
ReplyDeleteI saw a humming bird last weekend on the lake. It was kinda cold and surprised me to see it there.
ReplyDeleteGood work snoopervising from a proper distance. And the bird tv this summer looks to be quite pawsome at your house. Purhaps your Mom might invite one or two inside for you to ... get to know better ?
ReplyDeleteSnoopervising is the HARDEST work of ALL... So much responsibility!
ReplyDeleteLOVE your Hummer Feeder pics.
I hope your peeps weren't going anywhere, the street was plugged up with pine trees!
ReplyDeleteSo excited the hummers have returned on schedule, they remember the great feeders! Good photos of them at the feeder!
Ours are getting "nectar bellies". :)
Hugs and nose taps
Kathy and Molly
WE love all the trees in your neighborhood. I don't know if we have ever seen a real live hummingbird - mom has though
ReplyDeletehugs
Mr Bailey, Hazel & Mabel
We like seeing the work of others!
ReplyDeletemadi...N we will bee werkin hard ta send ewe ways ta get rid oh de feederz....inn deed !!! ♥♥♥
ReplyDelete87? Really! OH My that was a lot of tree removal. Mom wishes we could get rid of our pine trees which are about the same height as the ones in your neighborhood.
ReplyDeleteWe just LOVE hummers too!!!! Every time we've had a feeder, we've had a wasp problem though so Mom plants things that hummers can feed from - usually with RED flowers - so they're happy and well fed without attracting those icky wasps!
ReplyDeleteHugs Sammy
Whew, we are worn out with watching all that work! It must be lovely to have hummingbirds living near you, wish we had them here.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your sweet comment today :)

We like those little birds but we didn't see any bobCAT. Do bobCATS eat pine trees?
ReplyDeleteLots of tree WORK going on in your area these days, Madi - that must keep you busy working to watch all the goings on. Oh, those sweet little humers - so cute!!!
ReplyDeleteWoos - Ciara and Lightning
We love hummers but none of them visit us here in Florida. We're too close to the ocean and the wind is too strong here :(
ReplyDeleteHugs,
your guy Raz and The Florida Furkids
We don't get none of them here....never seen one.......Bites and Mickey are talking about joining Sarge on Working Wednesday...them two always got something going on!
ReplyDeleteDa Sus
You get interesting things to snoopervise from your window Madi.
ReplyDeleteWe're glad to hear those workers didn't smash your mail box. How wonderful that you have your hummers already. It just means they are on their way to our house in a few weeks.
ReplyDeleteWe hope those feeders are where you can keep an eye on things!
ReplyDeleteSnoopervision is quite possibly the hardest work of all, Madi!
Heh-heh.
>>Smoochies<< from your besties at Angel PRancer Pie.
We hope those hummers are headed our way! We can't wait to see those little guys.
ReplyDeleteYou are the hard worker Madi, snoopervising all these happenings.
