Monday Mews: A real April Fool's joke

My favorite time of the day is morning...WHY
I get  delish food loving dished out by  MOM and
I get fresh water in my Fresh Flow fountain.
Not only is the water delish I love watching the ripples

Madi's Mom here.  Madi absolutely adores this fountain.  I might have been almost as upset as she was about this. She drinks 95% of her water from the little slide.  This is the part that went kaput!! I put the old one down with just water in it...she went right to the slide...no water.  She looked at me like I had a horn growing out of my head.  A year ago I bought a new (different style) fountain home.  She would not have anything to do with it.
Of course as soon as the stores opened I was going to try to find something as close to this as possible.    I did put down some water in a bowl and she drank from it but I could tell she was not thrilled.

At 9:30 I was on the road heading to Pet Supply Plus....
They had a new model of Fresh Flow...it works exactly like Old Faithful and has less parts.

I hope this new Fresh flow is a good and the first one!!

  1. Crikey Madi ..... how good is that? I was real worried there for a while. Thought you were going to die of thirst or something. I'm sure glad you like your new fountain. It looks great. I've got one like your old one. Mum likes the look of your new one. Much easier to clean and use, aye??
AND Madi thankyou so much for your comments on my last post. Mum is feeling a lot better now. Once we get home she'll be completely back to normal.

  2. Wow, that's amazing that your fountain lasted so long! Our water out here is so hard and mineralized that even if my human took exemplary care of ours (she doesn't), they only will last maybe three years at the most. Usually not even that long.

  6. Whew, crisis averted! We just got our first fountain last night, can you believe it? The cats who came before us had one, but it apparently broke and was never replaced. We aren't as excited as you are about it and are eyeing it with suspicion. How long did it take you to fall in love with your fountain?

  17. Thirteen years is impressive! We're glad Madi likes her new fountain :)

  18. Whew! That was a near disaster! If Madi could not have the correct fountain she would have to start drinking bottled water - the expensive kind! Guess what, we are up to 3 candidates now!

  27. We're so relieved that you were able to find a suitable replacement for the dead fountain. There would have been serious demerits if Madi had to drink out of a common bowl like the rest of us. BOL!

  30. Whew, that was a great find, Mom. We don't always like new things either. Hmmm, we are thinking maybe Mom needs to look for one of those cool water dispensers for us too. We like our water cold and fresh too.

  31. WHEW~!!! We're so glad your mom was able to find a suitable substitute!
We have two water bowls, side by side. We only drink from the left-hand bowl, though -- until Mom decides "Oh, they never use this one, I should streamline and only have one bowl down" -- then we like the right-hand one. Ha roo roo roo.

  32. I had to chuckle when you said Madi likes watching the ripples. Last week on NATURE on PBS they had a program on the snow monkeys in Japan. It gets very cold there in the mountain habitat and they go to the warm springs even in winter. This one female loved to make bubbles and watch them in the water. Made me think of Madi.

  36. Yay! I'm so glad you found one like the favorite one. That is amazing that the first one lasted that long. We bought a fountain for the first time for the kitties, and Abbey especially really likes it.

  37. Madi is lucky to have such a good Mom to go get her a new fountain right away. Glad Madi approved of the new one.
