Today Friday the 13th and we are celebrating it on
We had lots of fog earlier this week. It always reminds mom of this poem.
Fog
The fog comes
on little cat feet.
It sits looking
over harbor and city
on silent haunches
and then moves on.

Below you will find an assortment of technicolor as seen
at Logan's Trading Post last weekend.

ReplyDeleteThat lovely poem deserves to be better known in the UK. Here we always quote Keats in autumn - 'Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness'.

ReplyDeleteFrom all those beautiful flowers, you'd never know that fall is almost here! I love watching balloons too. Here in St Louis, we have a balloon race every year ... a lead balloon takes off and the rest try to come close enough to drop a packet of birdseed in the lead's basket. ReplyDeleteSo many beautiful flowers Madi!
ReplyDeleteI used to see a fair amount of balloons back in the Netherlands, but here in Norway: none! Probably because of the mountains getting in the way.

Those beautiful mums make Mom want to go out and get some even though she said she wasn't wasting her money on them this year because she has no luck with them. She is still on the hunt for some pansies, but nothing yet. Hopefully this weekend she will have a little extra time and get out to the nursery she loves.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend.
