Tuesday Tale

First of all a round of aPAWs for the gorgeous photo of the leaves and blue sky!!
Dad took this on 11/10/17.  He rarely takes photos but he does have a very artsy eye for what makes a good photo!!

**********************************

Secondly...mom came into the master bath on 11/11/17...she saw me HERE!!
You will not believe what she asked me, I quote
"Madi are you a K9"?
I  replied ignored her, "What is the big deal, I'm all huddle in front of the heating vent."
Well the answer is this is a new habit of mine.
Evidently the only family pet to ever do this was Toto the might mini Dachshund

She says Milky-Way the feline BM (Before Madi) never did this.
I reminded her that she is in uncharted waters with me.
I'm the oldest kitty to live here E V E R!  Not to mention this is a might plush and comfy
rug.  If I'm to be truthful, I have acquired some new habits of late.  Not sure why but
it is fun to blow the mind mind of mom every so often?
I recently spent way too much time in solitary confinement in the pantry.
There are NO photos...but there was lots of audio.  Just sayin'

  3. I can't imagine any kitty that wouldn't want to lie near a heat vent!

  4. Yes indeed, why wouldn't one want to lie near a heat vent?
At least that is the perspective from always chilly Scotland!

  7. I wish I had a heat vent like yours in my bathroom, Madi! You are one smart girl!
    Love the autumn leaves!

  8. That is one terrific photo of the leaves etc. Madi, a lot of us that live sometimes sit on the vents to get warm. It is the smart thing to do to get warm and the main kitty that sits on the vent is a little older like you. So just ignore OGM. Have a great day,

  13. You are just smart enough to pick a warm spot! You are probably the smartest cat ever! Most of our trees are bare. Love the multi color leaves!

  14. Well, if Misty can enjoy napping in front of the washer and dryer, then we think you can sleep in front of the heat vent too. Bet it keeps you toasty warm.

    Great photo from Dad!!!

Now exactly why were you in solitary confinement in the pantry - sounds like a great place to find food!!!

  15. Maybe you are pretending it is a fireplace without the fear of flying sparks?! Stay toasty warm, Madi.

  16. Clapping hands together for your Dad, Madi... a very festive fall picture. I am a tree hugger. I LOVE those vents in front of sinks, we have one in front of the kitchen sink. Smart girl, Madi! Too, too funny about the pantry.

  20. Hey ... whatever works! Even Momma crowds the heat vents around here! I love the "late-blooming" habits. Kitty started mousing when she was 9. And I remember one night when she was 14 or 15 - she chased a cricket bounding over furniture and off walls. I LOVE seeing our kitties do their own thing and be their glorious selves. We might not understand what changed and prompted their new habits - but we love them!

  21. Joey dog used to sleep on the little rug by the heating vent in the bathroom all the time. It was the warmest place in the house.

  22. Hee! Hee! Queen Penelope used to lay right on top of the heat vents. That girl could never be too warm. Keep up the good work at expanding your Mom's ideas of what cats do!
