As you know, my peeps walk at Crabtree Valley Mall 5 days a week.
On July 26, 2018...they were astounded and befuddled when they saw
Christmas Decorations in a small area of the mall...
Exhibit 1
Then they saw the sign that read 151 days til Christmas.
So you know mom, she'll do anything for a post so we are about to offer you your very first
Sparks for Christmas 2018. We think this Sparks speaks for itself.
and it appears the Mall intends to remind us exactly how many shopping days til
Christmas.

ReplyDeleteIn the Great Down Under Parts, Christmas in July is the excuse for drinking mulled wine and eating heartily, it being winter at that time there... but I don't think I realised that it originated in the Carolinas!!! (according to the great paedia of the cloud...)
Much too early to be counting sleeps yet!!! Hugs and whiskeries, YAM-aunty xxx
Oh geez, I can't believe the Christmas decorations are already out over there! That is just ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteWe think that's terrifying! You should have warned us.
ReplyDeleteoh is it that time again? merry christmas in july! we are off now to write our wish lists...
ReplyDeleteI like your Spark and yeah while the small section that is decorated for July is way too early I am good with it. Why not think happy thoughts of a time that we all seem to enjoy. My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving but as long as the Christmas decorations don't stay up until Christmas I'm just going to go with it... :) I worked with Hallmark so you are talking to someone who rolled out the ornaments in July!
ReplyDeleteMom has been watching Christmas movies on Hallmark Channel for the whole month. We love Christmas in July!
ReplyDeleteEvery year we get reminders of Christmas coming further and further away from actual Christmas! Retailers want to get everyone fired up to BUY now! We love Christmas but it's tough to think about when it's in the 90s....
ReplyDeleteHugs, Teddy and Mom too
Oh Well, I guess Christmas can't come too soon for some people. Hope you have a really good day.
ReplyDeleteWow, this is.... Way early!
ReplyDeleteyes, it is early. But, also saw XMAS stuff being put out in Hobby Lobby and Walmart too.
ReplyDeletethis is really pushing it, even for a mall... first it was before TG, then before Halloween, now JULY??? oh MY..... it is interesting and very good photo fodder for blogging though
ReplyDeleteOh my word, Christmas decorations! Now, that is early - they at least wait until late October in our area.
ReplyDeleteOkay, Momma says she LOVES Christmas, but that's just TOO EARLY!!
ReplyDeleteWhat!?!? ONLY another 151 days to go...gosh and I haven't even written my LOOOOOONG list of wants to Santy Paws yet
ReplyDeleteLoves and licky kisses
Princess Leah xxx
Whoa, that's some hard-core advertising!
ReplyDeleteWe love your Spark - that is a very good way to think about giving. BUT holy cow, decorations already?????? Mom was just thinking about planning for a fall wreath for the door, not Christmas!!!
ReplyDeleteWoos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Hooray for Christmas, I'm always ready!
ReplyDeleteWe don't think Christmas can come early enough!
ReplyDeleteSorry we're so behind again. Mom's been getting ready for a big renovation, running around like a crazy person. Well ... crazier person.
Yours sincerely,
Margaret Thatcher
Great Spark!! I love Christmas so I think that is a great idea.
ReplyDeleteGhostwriter says she thought it was back-to-school time at the stores and malls. But Christmas in July???? (Actually at the nursing home some of the little old ladies have been watching Christmas in July movies on the Hallmark channel. Ghostwriter just rolls her eyes. But the old ladies love it.)
ReplyDeleteWow......pretty amazing! Mom hasn't seen any Christmas decorations yet but she did see Christmas movies on the Hallmark channel!

ReplyDeleteWe've heard of Christmas in July for getting started on making your crafty holiday gifts (Joann's always does sales for it) but have never seen a display at a mall. It never hurts to plan ahead.
ReplyDeleteMom was in Hobby Lobby the other day and they already have Christmas decorations out for sale!
ReplyDeletehugs
Hazel & Mabel
Maybe they were celebrating Christmas in July!
ReplyDeleteThat's a good idea. Nothing beats the heat like Christmas scenes
ReplyDeleteHOLY SNOWBALLS! Already??! wells, Ma has been dreamin' of snow in all this heat, so I guess it's not such a bad thingie! BOL!!!
ReplyDeleteKisses,

OMD!!!!! Noooooooo. And people wonder why some of us get just a little tired of Christmas carols waaaaay before Christmas! -- And I absolutely love Ruby's "Holy Snowballs" exclamation!
ReplyDeleteHee! Hee!!! What a reminder!
ReplyDeleteWhen Mom worked in Victoria BC their office was right over a Christmas Shop. Mom says it was terrifically busy all summer long and to this day, Mom is NOT a fan of Christmas music...
Merry Christmas in July to you guys!
