Today I am very thankful for Brian's
Thankful Thursday Hop
We had lunch with SIL and BIL on January 31, 2019.
SIL made me an apple pie for my Birthday.
We don't exchange b-day gifts...she makes us pies because she is queen of pies
and I make them cornbread because I'm queen of cornbread
YES IT WAS DELICIOUS!!!

Was his landing a 10 or a MISS?
In 2017 Madi wrote an
Ode to her water fountain....
Oh water fountain how I do love you...
Your water glistens in the night even when there is no light,
Your pump sends sweet, fresh water down to the bowl much to my delight...
The water trickles, ripples and bubbles
enticing my inner beastie...
It makes me dream of lovely places to feast.
Oh water fountain thank you for service to me through out the day and night.
that is a fabulous ode ...very well picked ;O) and to have a SIL who is a pie champion is a super great thing ;O)

ReplyDeleteAngel Madi's lines are always a joy - but your own ditty today hits the mark!!! YAM xx
Pies - YUM!
ReplyDeleteThat is a very brave man! Love your poem! The pie looks soooooooo yummy!
ReplyDeleteHi Madi♥
You are very lucky to have a sis-in-law that makes delicious pie! I am hoping that guy landed a 10! Sweet Madi and her water fountain ♥
ReplyDeleteThat is a scary looking dive. Looks like a long ways down. That poem is just the best. And the pie made me very hungry for pie. You all have a first class day.
ReplyDeleteOh my - both of those poems are wonderful....Angel Madi was a master of the word and I guess she got THAT from her Mom who is the Queen of Cornbread!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Pam
Those were such terrific poems and that apple pie looks like it's just filled with yum! Thanks for joining the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
ReplyDeleteI remember the ode to the water fountain. and the poem for the DIVE is my favorite you have written so far. short, to the point, perfect for the photo. love it.... if given a choice of apple pie or cornbread I would dive on the cornbread. if it were a lemon, or pecan or custard pie, I would dive on the pie. I am the queen of eating what others bake
ReplyDeleteA 10 or a miss? I really don't want to see the miss in that case.

We loved seeing Angel Madi. The poems were just so wonderful for Thankful Thursday. Madi had the best open air condo. Thanks for the sharing. Have a great rest of your day.

Takes a special kind of person to want to dive off heights like that! Angel Madi, will you convince The Hubby that we need a cat water fountain...he thinks everything around it will get wet! I remember enjoying a pear pie that my SIL made, a bazillion years ago. Pears from her tree.
ReplyDeleteDid I see a PIE!?!?!?!
ReplyDeleteThis Princess LUFFS all pies, yum, yum!
Loves and licky kisses

Okay, now I'm hungry for apple pie.
ReplyDeleteLove your poem and I'll give that guy a 10.
Our cruise is on our boat and we'll leave our marina tomorrow morning and cruise to Marina West Yacht Club for the weekend. Then on Sunday we will cruise back to our marina. It's going to rain all three days. We're going anyway.
Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday, my friend. Big hug. ♥
YUM! We'll take one pie and one cornbread, please!
ReplyDeleteThe pie looks lovely, Happy Birthday! I wish I was the Queen of something yummy - I'm just the Queen of Scooping Litter Boxes - MOL!
ReplyDeleteOooooo, yum! We think a bit of ice cream would have made that pie absolutely PERFECT.
ReplyDeleteI hope it was a 10 and not a miss. We have seen the cliff divers in Acapulco and it was scary to watch!
ReplyDeleteThe apple pie looks delicious.

ReplyDeleteWoos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Ghostwriter says there is NO WAY she would jump from a cliff like that! She's scared of heights. Apple pie sounds like the perfect thing for a birthday. And, if I had a waterfall like that, I think I'd be playing in it all day long! Hooray!
ReplyDeleteGreat poems by you and Angel Madi. And those pies look good. XO
ReplyDeleteThat pie looks delish! We think your poem fits that picture perfectly.
ReplyDeleteI love cornbread, especially the sweet variety. And frankly, I think that guy is a bit crazy.
ReplyDeleteOooh, that apple pie looks sooooo delicious!!1
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Poem HiC and Madi's Ode gave me a giggle!
I cannot get over that guy's calf muscles! I love both of your poems.
ReplyDeleteWe sure hope it was a 10 or at least a 5

ReplyDeleteAn impressive share, I just given this onto a colleague who was doing a little analysis on this. And he in fact bought me breakfast because I found it for him.. smile. So let me reword that: Thnx for the treat! But yeah Thnkx for spending the time to discuss this, I feel strongly about it and love reading more on this topic. If possible, as you become expertise, would you mind updating your blog with more details? It is highly helpful for me. Big thumb up for this blog post!
