Dearest Aunty HiC
As you well know, it’s finally Mom’s favorite time of year. College football is BACK!
This is our first football season here in The Hill, but we’ve been informed we’re Alabama Crimson Tide fans.
💕🐘💕
Are there any other football fans out there? Who’s your favorite team?
Roll Tide!
❤️ Kat and Pup You Feline and Canine Nephews
Now to answer your question!!
I am 100,000% an NC State University Fan and have been since I was a wee girl.
I expect sometime during the college pawball season
The Tide and The Wolfpack will meet on the gridiron.
We'll have to agree that the best team win!!
It is all in fun RIGHT?
It is all in fun RIGHT?
Maybe that is why I love red so much.
As you can see from the photo I even have a RED ROOM in my house
Lovingly your Aunty HiC
A wonderful poem, great advice. We're not into football, though there is a Longhorns shirt in the closet from a TX visit.
ReplyDeletewe love that spark a lot!! and we wish your team all the good luck!!!

ReplyDeleteNot my game - but as a rugby union fan, I totally understand the urge and intent! YAM xx
Bertie is shocked to learn that some pets don't get to choose their own football team.
ReplyDeleteThose last five lines of the poem just hit. I will have to think seriously about those for a while.
ReplyDeleteKlem, Mara
Love the Fall header by the way - lookin' Fallish! That's a wonderful SPARK - it's never a "bad" time to start over. Football? Well I used to be a HUGE Pro football fan and was very loyal to the Washington Redskins BUTTTTT they have struggled the last several years and I'm afraid my dedication to watching their games has waned. Oh well.....some weekends were made for something OTHER than being glued to the TV!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Pam
Love the inspirational plaque! You and Pup look great in your red bandanas, Kat!
ReplyDeleteAnd we are loving your autumn blog look, Miss Cecilia!
Your fall header is just the best. We are not football fans. But enjoy it. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteThis poem has always been a favorite of mine. It is actually a quote from Francis Scott Fitzgerald. Very good advice for life.
ReplyDeleteHave a great Monday.
Thank heavens we can always start over! Or stay our quirky selves.. :) We are University of Missouri fans... Go Mizzou!
ReplyDeleteI love that Spark. I've lived that Spark. Spot on.
ReplyDeleteI love the conversations you have with your babes. Wonderful and a huge Awww.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Big hug. ♥
Nice plaque.
ReplyDeleteKat and Pup are the cutest football fans evhah!
That does make for a wonderful Spark! Hey Kat and Pup, go team go!
ReplyDeletebest looking football fans I have ever seen.. Go Kat and Pup... enjoy your football... hope both teams win a lot
ReplyDeleteThat is a great poem. We are WVU and Buffalo Bills fans in this house. In case you weren't aware NC State will be at WVU this Saturday. Sadly we don't have high hopes for WVU as they have a new coach so it will be a "building" year.
ReplyDelete"We don't own life; we only rent it!" I read that in a book recently, and it says the same thing...do what you need to, to be the person that you want to be.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful quote! You know we are big Texas Longhorn fans here, but MR. Wuf is almost adorable enough to make me think about switching...almost!
ReplyDeleteFitzgerald was a smart man! I always root for our home team!
ReplyDeleteThat poem is a very good Spark.
ReplyDeleteI am not a fan of football, American or English, but Kat and Pup look cute in their bandanas.
Pawesome Spark today - great one for everyone to ponder.
ReplyDeleteKat, Mom is not a football person at all. Dad loves it. But we all agree that we have to root for our KC Chiefs and our quarterback Mahomes!!!
Woos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Love that fan gear, y'all are too cute! I LOVE THAT QUOTE! Thanks for sharing it today.
ReplyDeleteNice Spark! We're not football fans here but we know a lot of people who are.
ReplyDeleteThe Florida Furkids
It's a great quote. I wish I had the courage to follow it.
ReplyDeleteBeing a native Tallahassee peep, I was born into the Noles' era of the great Bobby B. I don't follow the games though.
That is a very wonderful quote.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your kind words on Caster's memorial post. And for including him on the POTP blog. We miss our sweet boy so, so much, but having the support and love of the cat-blogging community has been a huge comfort. So thank you for reaching out. I know you're approaching the 1 year anniversary of Madi's passing. I hope you are able to reminisce about all the wonderful memories you shared with her. Sending love.
We do like the quote! the peeps enjoy watching football but don't have a particular team anymore
ReplyDeletehugs

Oh, that is a FABulous quote! Everyone should read that at least once a week! As for the Footieball, Ma is a huuuuge 49ers fan, and she has high hopes for this season (paws crossed! nothin' than a sad Ma after a loss....), as for college, wells, we do back the local colleges ~ Stanford, Berkeley, SJ State, butts all the games to choose from gives Ma a headache! BOL!!
ReplyDeleteKisses,
Ruby ♥
OK, let's kick a goal for the home team! Great posting for all one hundred yards of it!
ReplyDeleteIt is cool to support your local teams and that is one inspiring poem
