WHEN: WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 7th

Crock Pot Pumpkin Bread
Recipe below. I had all the ingredients on hand except the Libby's Pumpkin which was $2.49 USD at Harris Teeter Grocery store
Very economical treat.
Steps #1-2 are self explanatory no photos
Steps #3-6 photos below
Step #3
Step #4
2 cups of water in the bottom of a crock pot large enough for a loaf pan to fit
Step #6
Paper towels covering the crock pot.
Make sure paper towels are trapped around the lid
so they don't slip.
The unveiling...
After 3 hours of cooking and 30 minute of sitting in the crock pot,
I took the lid off and remove the paper towels...this is what I saw
I let it cool for about 30 minutes on the counter then turned it out onto a plate
Verdict: It is delicious!!
Hints:
After you take the loaf pan out of the crock pot, let it cool about 30 minutes before turning out.

ReplyDeleteThat looks so yummy and so moist! I would have a hard time waiting the 30 minutes☺

ReplyDeleteHugs, Pam
I have a couple of cans of pumpkin. I need to try this.
ReplyDeleteI usually make cranberry pumpkin bread for Thanksgiving every year. I'm not sure I'll do it this year, though. We'll see how things go. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteCome join CAAC's #WildWednesday. The linky party where just about anything goes. Today, I'm sharing another #RocktoberMusicFest song, a photo-art creation, and my responses to this week's Wednesday Hodgepodge. ;)
"NO PEEPING..."
ReplyDeleteHahahahaha!
Looks delicious! I'd be making some burnt sugar frosting to drizzle over the top and I'm going to need some buttah! Great recipe, C!
ReplyDeleteI'll bet that really is yummy!
ReplyDeleteWow this is pretty yummy looking. I could make this and use fake sugar. I might be a little worried about the paper towels catching on fire.
ReplyDeleteLooks great. We can't get pumpkin anywhere.
ReplyDeleteThe Florida Furkids
We might have to try that recipe. I would be hard not to peek at it while it's cooking though.
ReplyDeleteC;
ReplyDeletethis recipe and the bread look great. I have to admit to not baking much; unless you consider the "microwave" ☺☺☺ though 3 hours seems like a long time ???
thanx for sharing ! ☺☺♥♥
Wow, Mom never thought of making pumpkin bread in a crock pot. that looks delicious. We usually have a good supply of canned pumpkin on hand because we each get a dollop of it in our dinner bowl, but the stores all seem to be totally out of it right now. Very odd with it being October. We are going to have Mom try this recipe. She likes raisins in her pumpkin bread, wonder if it would still work with the crockpot. Why not? Give it a try, Mom.

That looks good. Thanks for the recipe. XO
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing way to make that. I may have to try it tonight. The blonde hair is my transition to grey. I realized how stressful my roots were so when I could go back to the hair dresser we bleached it out.
ReplyDeleteI took a couple of slices and it was delicious.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day, my friend. Big hug. ♥
WOW!!! What a great recipe and absolutely PERFECT for RV cooking! I don't know if NB has a crockpot in Windy...but you may want to mention this recipe to her!
ReplyDeleteWhat an unusual way to make pumpkin bread! I can almost smell it from here. Mmmmm.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a scrumptious Halloween treat.
ReplyDeleteThat looks super yummy! We'll have to give it a try real soon.
ReplyDeleteI would NOT be able to follow the "no peeping" rule. I cannot imagine YOU following it? Did you? ;)
ReplyDeleteThat looks DELISH!!!!! Though, Ma doesn't like pumpkin, so she probably won't make it for me...sigh. Can I come overs and taste yours??!!! BOL!
ReplyDeleteKisses,
Ruby ♥
Wow! I never would have thought! My crick pot isn't wide enough for a loaf pan (or my load pans are too big) so I'll see if NC wants to make it for next time we meet up!
ReplyDeleteMurphy's Note: See what mom did there?
