Wordless (ha) Wednesday

Hosted by Comedy Plus

N. C. Museum of Art's newest sculpture.
We watched as the cement display pad was installed.
A few days later we saw this,  to me it resembles two finger tips touching

This is the plaque describing it.
What a great name for an artist!!

Longleaf Pine note the difference in the pine needles on the taller trees...just regular pines, behind it
It isn't too far from the above sculpture on the
NC Museum of Art Campus

  1. we agree... two fingertips... but to touch the fingers not with your fingers is something special LOL

  5. Love the fingertips touching. It's beautiful. Love the plaque too. Happening in so many places.

I've never seen that kind of pine before. Very unique.

  6. We like your interpretation of the sculpture better than what is on the plaque. That pine tree is so cute. We hope one day it will be as towering as the one's behind it.

  7. The little pine looks so floofy! I like your perception of the sculpture. So true what he says about Kansas rural areas, rural in Missouri, too. Sad.

  11. I'm curious how the two pieces stay connected; or if it's one solid sculpture

  13. You sure have some interesting things to see where you live!

Love the little pine tree! We have an Austrian pine in our back yard. It has long needles, but not as long as the one in your picture.

  17. I see a couple of those big pink erasers in the first picture and a plastic, wall mounted paper towel holder in the second one. Strange, where our minds go...
