Happy Tuesday: Early Morning at Lead Mine Lake

Hosted by Comedy Plus

Lead Mine Lake

I was some distance away from this area.  I knew it was a bird and there are lots of Great Blue Herons around the lake but this guy was just had odd coloring.  When I downloaded, it I saw it was a life size bird yard art.  The yard with the Pomegranate tree/bush in it was full of  Pomegranates (not Persimmons).  Thank you Ramona for id'ing it for me!!

LOL - the bird art does look a tad lifelike at first glance! I know folk who love persimmon as a fruit. I tried it once. Not something I will return to! YAM xx

    1. For certain. As a 7 year old girl coming home from school, I plucked some off the bush. Disliked them enough to never try again. Distinctive taste and not pleasant...at least to my cousin and me.

  3. Persimmon. Great word, not a clue as to how that would taste though.

  5. Cecilia those are Pomegranates. We have several of them in our yard.
We also have persimmons although this year the squirrels ate all of the fruit.

  6. when i went to the doctor and told her my tongue is hurting, i said it hurts and it feels like a ate a few persimmon and she did not know what that is like, i tried a couple of them off the tree in our yard when I lived with my parents and still remember that puckered drawing feeling.

  9. I thought it was a real bird too. Way cool. I've not had a persimmon in a very long time.

Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Big hugs. ♥

  10. The yard art bird looks like the real thing. Persimmons can predict the weather, well not with a lot of accuracy! SSNS Mom had a persimmon tree and if you hit it just right they are good to eat. We hardly ever hit it just right!
