On my walks the things I see.
Bring me glee
To share them here
Often I see a deer or three

It is unHEARD of to see a HERD.
At first we counted six

Movement from deep in the  distant trees
we saw at least four more and one lucky
buck watching his harem and ME.
Their chocolate brown eyes gazing at us
while in the February sun they grazed,
Unbothered by the silly human.
Doe and fawns

A few days later while walking
on Bayberry Lane
This little guy leaped off
his porch to say HI
He and his shadow weaved
in and out of my legs.

OMCs look at his adorable 4 white feets
His momentary fascination with me
was over.
We both heard a tweet across the street

My Final (non) fiction and felines poetry on
Nature Friday is over.
I thank you my friends
for staying with me til the
END.

  8. I enjoyed each line in the blog. LOVE the deer. Think I said Bruce in Charlotte has a herd of 8 in his back yard. Development took away all their living space, poor deer. Bruce feels badly for them even though they ruined the yard

  9. I have a thing for cats with little white feeties! I have not seen any deer in our neighborhood since we moved to Florida which surprises me. Wild pigs we have rooting up our lawns but no deer. I enjoyed your poetic words and post and pictures. Good Morning!

  10. How cool to see that small herd of deer? They even stuck around for some pictures. Your kitty friend is cute too but we wish he was inside where it's much safer for him.
