Looking thru some files and OMCs...
Dixie looked like a winter wonderland back in 2018
Thankful we will not repeat that weather today.
After the roads were clear, we took a ride to WRAL-TV station
to see the frozen water fountain.
That is me dressed like the Pillsbury Dough Boy.
Dearest Cecilia,
ReplyDeleteSuch snow we never get here in central Georgia.
That frozen fountain is quite a sight and glad you got captured, standing in front of it.
Stay cozy!
Couldn't sleep so I started reading blog posts... it is raining here.
Hugs,
Mariette
wow, i don't remember this but I know if you posted it i saw it, which proves we can all repost things with out fear of it being old to each other.
ReplyDeleteThe frozen water fountain is so pretty! We have snow coming in today, says the weather peeps. We are ready!
ReplyDeleteThe frozen fountain is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful pictures. But I realized down south that is just abnormal. I think I'm going to get a couple inches of snow here this weekend, but not near as bad as they had predicted. And I am grateful for that, even though it's so cold I dress like the Pillsbury Doughboy everyday that I walk, lol.

ReplyDeleteYes, that was the year of the "beast from the east" polar vortex. Quite something. YAM xx
Brrrrr! The kitties are glad their fountain isn't frozen!
ReplyDeleteWe're glad we only have to see photos of the COLD.
ReplyDeleteI know we too had some bad stuff going on but you took the prize there in Raleigh!!! Wow! That fountain!!! xo
ReplyDeleteThat sure was a lot of snow for you back then. We still haven't gotten our normal amount of snow. It's all come down as rain so far so the backyard it muddy.
ReplyDeleteThat is scary! I didn't know you could get that much snow. No cars in the driveway :) The fountain is amazing.
ReplyDeleteLovely winter photo and great photo of you ~
ReplyDeleteHugs to you and Angel Madi ~ Xo's
Wishing you good health, laughter and love in your days,

I lived in the North (PA) for the first 30 years of my life, and never saw anything like that. It was definitely worth driving to to see, Miss Pillsbury Dough Boy. (We all dressed like that in PA!)
ReplyDeleteGreat photos. XO
ReplyDeleteFrozen fountains are cool
ReplyDeleteBeautiful ... wondering if we'll see anything similar this winter ... purr-haps!!??
ReplyDeleteWow! Cool. I hope it doesn't get like that again. Too much damage happens around here when it freezes up.
ReplyDeleteWe don't get that much snow here, but we had a storm that year as well, and we had a lot, for us. Freezes aren't good for the swamps, I pray all of the places that shouldn't have snow don't get it this year.
