Nature Friday host LLB Gang
Mom Beth and the Girls made a beautiful new
Nature Friday Badge honoring the Memory of our friend
Gail
I don't know how old this tree is but I do
know it is huge and healthy...photo take on March 1.
Itty bitty bits of green were sprouting too.

FLASHBACK
MARCH 11, 2011
HAPPY 9TH BIRTHDAY TO OUR PRECIOUS
MADI
MADI
Madi loved the camera and the camera loved Madi
I found this poem in Chicken Soup for the Soul: Lovin' Our cats. It describes Madi purrfectly.
It was written for a male cat. I changed it to fit the Diva.
Under her Spell

THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE PICTURES OF MADI IN 2011 |
It was written for a male cat. I changed it to fit the Diva.
Under her Spell
by
Tami Sandlin
I can feel her watching me
Through golden eyes, unblinking
And I can't help but wonder
Just what it is she is thinking.
I know her habits, I know her ways
But her moods are hard to tell
The only thing I know for sure is
She knows I'm under her spell
For eating she has claimed my nicest dish
To nap, my favorite chair
And anytime I want to sit,
She is comfortably resting there.
For play, she's got expensive toys
To chase and romp and caper
But still she is only happy with
A balled-up piece of paper!
She is always begging for attention
To be scratched beneath her chin
And when my writing takes me away from her
She steals my writing pen!
Despite our unique relationship
People ask "Just who owns who?"
It's really nice to have someone
To look forward to come home to.
And so, I stay enchanted with
This crazy pet of mine
For nothing keeps you spellbound
Like a furry finicky feline.
I don’t believe I’ve ever seen a unflattering picture of Madi, but this is undeniably one of her best❣️🐈⬛❤️ The poem is purr-fect!
ReplyDeletea real diva from ears to toes... and so great to see her... we love such old trees... they remind us of the big tree in the sleepy hollow movie ;o)
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous photo of Madi and the poem is wonderful! Love the gnarly old tree!
ReplyDeleteHari Om

And what a furbyoulush remembrance for angle Madi!!! Hugs and whiskeries to her from YAM-aunty xxx
this is a super shot of dear sweet Madi and the poem is absolutely PURRfect . that tree is amazing...
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful poem and what a beautiful picture of your angel. It all just makes her seem like she's right there in the room with you. And that tree, that is the gnarliest tree I have ever seen. Looks like something out of a scary movie in a way.
ReplyDeleteThat tree without leaves could star in a creepy movie with all the twists and turns it is scary looking! It sure is a big one too.
ReplyDeleteThat Elder Tree is just glorious! I would just stand there touching the trunk, were I there. You can feel their energy, these old trees.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday, angel Madi! What a lovely photo and poem to honour you. 💖
That is a lovely poem and photo of Madi. The tree is beautiful and majestic.
ReplyDeleteThat is one big beautiful tree.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to Madi. Lovely photo and what a great poem
That's a cool looking tree. We can't wait to see it transition for spring. We love the Madi flash back and think that poem is perfect.
ReplyDeleteLove this Madi Flashback. The poem is touching and humorous. Madi really did love the camera... she was looking right at you. A very interesting tree.. it's like it has its own personality but I think all trees have personalities. I am a tree hugger :) It will be fun to see it as it leafs out.
ReplyDeleteI always looked the Chicken Soup books! I should read one soon. Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteOh gosh......it made me cry because it's not only Madi but it's every precious cat I've ever had the pleasure of spending part of my life with. People who say cats and dogs, etc. don't have personalities and don't have an imagination, etc. are nuts. I love the abandon with which they live their lives - they will take what we give and be thankful in the sweetest ways.......We ALL miss your Madi - one of a kind as they all are and that's yet another reason why we love them so.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Pam
What a beautiful poem, and a lovely tree too!
