Click here Hostess Miss Mimi Dear Auntie HiC,
We appreciate the kind, caring comments regarding Mom's achey back situation. ❤️
Before arthritis made it too painful, Mom loved gardening in the yard & her greenhouse that Mom and Dad ordered and was delivered in one piece.
In the middle is a photo of Zack & Cosmo Kitty who came paved the way to their hearts for us.
Unfortunately, her back pain has limited her activities these days.
So, we were excited to see her planting a few pots.
That’s when the trouble started!
Apparently, the squirrels aren’t satisfied with the seed & fruit we provide them. They want to devour the flowers too!
We had to abruptly end (censor) this video before Mom started saying HBO words. The pot has since been moved into the screen porch.
To be continued….
❤️ Kat, Rocky & Cali
Oh my CATS I am so sorry to see the evil tree rat eating that beautiful plant.
Aunty HiC said a few choice words too.
Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. Ellen came up with the first two and my wonderful co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.
1. A day without COFFEE is like a day without Sunshine.
2. I find it rude when someone asks me _______________________.
3. I like to shop for groceries as early as possible.
4. I tend to run late NEVER!! I always make sure I have plenty of time for anything/place I'm going. I don't like being late.

ReplyDeleteStruth, those Squirrels sure go for the five star foodables, eh? YAM xx
The pots look lovely, and the squirrel obviously thought so too. I am no longer able to do the gardening either. I am not allowed in the greenhouse because I could easily fall through the glass with my loss of balance. Ivor did build me a raised bed which I don't have to bens at all for so at least I can do a bit of gardening.
ReplyDeleteI am totally in agreement with fill ins #1 and 4.
Mom was into plants at one point in her life, now she isn't at all. We plant our usual flowers in pots every spring and that is it. Mom says she can't stand being late either. We are always early. There are some that are always late and it drives her nuts as it is so rude to the others that are punctual. Have a fun weekend.
ReplyDeleteI am with you on #4 for sure and can't think of an answer for #2 either. I have seen squirrels do this same thing, dive at the roots of flowers and dump the flower out on the ground...
ReplyDeleteLast year those pesks made me have to buy a 8 foot net to cover my persimmon tree. This year they better look out for my roving hunter killer pack of 5 kitty cats that are now big enough to put a hurt on them.
ReplyDeleteThe potted plants are all so pretty and my answers would have been the same as yours on the three of them and I can't think of an answer for number two either.
ReplyDeleteThe garden and greenhouse were lovely! I'm glad Kit has found a way to keep doing what she enjoys, in spite of the devious squirrels! Tell her to check out Claus Dalby's Instagram or other social media. He's Danish, I believe, and is an extraordinary gardener, does EVERYTHING in pots. His gardens are amazing!
ReplyDeleteAnd where to start this morning. With fillings I'm like you I'm never late. And I don't like people who are they keep me from getting my work done. Now the top photo with all those beautiful plants that Miss Kit had previously was incredible. So we are glad to see what the help of three kittens she is replanting new pots this year. We had a squirrel that ate my Christmas cactus one year. It was sitting on the front porch and this squirrel came every day to take a branch off of it. The pot had to come in.
ReplyDeleteOh my word, I would have said HBO words for sure had I caught that pesky squirrel eating my plants. How rude.
ReplyDeleteI really dislike squirrels 100%. I have HBO words going through my mind as I type this because they destroyed my hummingbirds feeding station over and over and over.ruined the finish on my deck with nectar..blackened it, ate the regular beds food despite all I did to prevent it. But taking my hummingbirds space was IT for me. If I could..I would rid the whole town of them. Trust me..with the trees and so on...all things considered, I did all that could be done to feed everyone safely. The squirrels cost me more money than I care to say. Plus, they cost me my birds. That was the highest price. They destroyed my tulips, and other bulbs. Daffodils are all they left alone re: eating but they bit them off their stems.
ReplyDeleteEvil, EVIL Squirrels!!!!
ReplyDeletexoxo,
Rosy & Sunny
BAD vishus squirrel. Mom says she is "chronically early" when she goes anywhere.
ReplyDeleteToo bad they don't have a dog in the house to chase those tree rats away. We loved your fill ins too.
ReplyDeleteThey always ate my purple petunias on the Tiny Ten. Just the purple ones. We loved the squirrels but dang they are little jerks. I love it when you do Fill-Ins! :)
ReplyDeleteHard to have plants/bird feeder etc with squirrels around ~ Can relate to arthritic back ~ be well ~ do what you can ~ Happy Weekend ~ ^_^
ReplyDeleteHugs to you Cecilia and Angel Madi ~ xo
Wishing you good health, laughter and love in your days,

Those are some nice plants, even the squirrels love them!
ReplyDeleteThose rotten squirrels. They have no respect. :)
ReplyDeleteSweet flashback photos. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I feel that way about coffee too. XO
ReplyDeleteA squirrel's favorite food is whatever it can get its paws on and teeth around.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is a force of nature, if I didn't have its force, I'd follow the law of nature and go back to bed.
I like those flashback photos, thank you for linking up with Feline Friday!
Those are some absolutely stunning blooms.
ReplyDeleteI certainly sympathize with your Mom and her back. Please tell her I hope she gets some relief soon. Pesky squirrels!
ReplyDeleteMy Mommy hates to be late too, and so does my Daddy. I think you need a schnauzer or two (like me) to rid you of those tree rats! XOX Xena
