Oh my, that is a wonderful creature to see close up. I am kind of glad it didn't have it's next meal in its sights or talons :) Thanks for sharing such lovely pictures. ERin
You know the deal here so what I tell you how I laughed out loud at the HawkMobile and what he said to you both...you'll probably be surprised... THANK you for such a sweet surprise. I am a Raptor fan and especially Hawks...who gotta eat too. Right? Right.
Such a striking selfie—the hawk looks so regal and focused. You’ve captured a beautiful moment in nature. I just shared a new post. I am excited for you to read it. Thank you. Have a lovely week.

Lovely photo of the hawk. Maybe it was having a rest during it's nest making.
ReplyDeleteHow utterly amazing to catch that moment. I have hawks fly through our yard and land in our trees. But I've never had an opportunity quite like that.
ReplyDeleteWell there is something you don't see every day. What a surprise to find him there.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful surprise!
ReplyDeleteHow cool to see that hawk so close up. He might have also plucked a mouse in the middle of all those pine needles.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely surprise! The River Cats Tigris and Styx

ReplyDeleteNice shots of the hawk. XO
ReplyDeleteIt was trying to steal it
ReplyDeleteHawks are amazing and a delight to watch, although not to the smaller animals and birds they eat.
ReplyDeleteThat's quite a visitor and a surprise to see one that close up isn't it. We do see hawks here but usually WAY up in the trees and rarely this close.
