Easy Sunday

69 DEGREES IN DECEMBER🙌😻
We had lunch on the porch earlier...just a glorious late April day in December.  Knowing this was a fluke, I decided to sit on the porch one more time.
These photos were taken on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at 4 pm.
I was sitting here reading.  I also had my trust iPad too.
I heard children's voices coming from many directions.
In this age of computer games, etc I rarely see/hear children outside.
All of a sudden I felt a sneeze coming on...FYI...my sneezes have been know to make the ground rumble.
From near by I heard
"Bless You"

I turned to the direction of the voices.  This is what I saw children on a blanket having a snack and it sounded like playing a game.
I waved and said, Thank you.

  1. It hasn't been 69 degrees here in Los Angeles! My human is envious. She has been in fleece leggings for a couple of weeks.

  2. What a lovely description of your day. It is unseasonably warm here too, although in Northern Scotland that means a high of 11ºC (52ºF) today. Oh and a +20mph wind!
    Cheers, Gail.

It has been unseasonably mild here also - though with that comes rain and there is a BIG wind this weekend. Not quite sitting out weather. What a joy to see the young ones out picnickering!!! YAM xx

  4. the sight of children outside is a rare thing here. I can't remember when I last saw that. so glad you had a beautiful spring day yesterday, we had a lot of rain in the past 2 days, almost 4 inches of badly needed rain, the thing is it made the temps at 79 each day. so more like summer here instead of your spring.. can we have a photo of what I think is a ladybug in the corner behind your chair? love the table and chairs.

  5. Well it sure isn't outside at a picnic table or blanket weather here but it's warmer than "usual"! Sounds like a nice afternoon........we expect rain later today.

  7. Our temps are usually in the high 60s but have been in the high 30s.Brrrrr

  8. It's been above average temps here too. Unfortunately that makes for a muddy yard so we can't play outside much. How great that those children were playing outside and not just looking at screens on such a beautiful day.

  9. How wonderful that children were actually outside playing! And they were quite polite too.

  10. It is mild here too but low 50s. At least the rain has stopped so hopefully the flooding everywhere will subside.
Your sneezes sound a lot like mine!

  11. It is not that warm here but it has been more than tolerable and the pups and I have had some nice walks. So nice to see kids out. We all need to be outside more.

  12. We've been having 69°, too. Of course that's the night's low! Didn't see any children out at Christmas. No bikes, scooters, etc. I suppose they were either inside on 'screens' or in pools.

  14. How sweet! Kids should definitely get outside time.

  15. Nice that you took advantage of the nice weather. It’s been warmer here too...but not 69. We know it’s just a matter of time before winter shows its true self.

  16. What a sweet day, in every way! No warmth here at all... but that's okay.

  17. Loving the New Year look here at your blog! Very nice that you got a "Bless You" for your sneeze. What a glorious day!

  20. I love your New Year's header. How sweet to get a blessing from a child! And yes, we've been having the same weather. I figure if we're not going to get snow for Christmas (rare here), it might as well be sit-outside-in-short-sleeves weather. :)

  21. We've had some warmer weather lately too. But we won't be fooled. Winter will be back with a vengeance soon enough!

    Happy New Year!

  22. How wonderful to have those kind of temps. We are not getting out of the 20's.
Yes we got snow yesterday. Did not accumulate a whole lot but it made everything very slick. Had a knock on our door last night, a young driver had gone through our outer fence and into the big yard!!
