Today we join Two SPOILED CATS
Angel Sammy and Teddy for their poetic pictorial poem.
Here is today's inspiration
The Door
**Door Hunter, was a blog in Prague.
I found it shortly after start my blog.
Around her city she traveled snapping
pictures of Doors.
Surely that must be a bore.
Gazing at her pictures of
big ones, small ones, all shapes colors galore.
How unique I thought...maybe there is more
I started paying attention to doors.
My mind's eye suddenly had snippets of life
behind each door.
The door on a structure is like a smile on a face.
Each either says welcome come in or send you
scurrying to another place.
**The blog is no longer active. However, if you are interested
in see lots of doors, click here
oh there is still a blogger who has many photos of doors from allower da world... I love it it makes me ponder so foten who may live there and how the people will look who are behind this doors ;O)

ReplyDeleteGreat picture and it is fun to imagine what is beind close doors. You all have a great day.
ReplyDeleteWow, what a fantastic door. Sparks the imagination looking at it.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'm glad you like my poem and I surely do like yours too my friend. I've kind of always had a "thing" for doors - it's the FIRST impression someone has of the occupants of a home....the door can be welcoming or like a neon warning sign! I've seen some incredibly creative doors in my many years. Thanks for being part of our Poetic Thursday fun....you are a "born poet" !!
ReplyDeleteLove, Pam
That was a terrific poem, you nailed it!
ReplyDeleteLove your poem and I checked out the blog. Doors are fun to see. Some are beautiful and some are not.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day, honey. Big hug. ♥
When I was in Dublin, Ireland, the thing back then was "The Doors of Ireland". I tell The Hubby that we need to get a new front door, but he's pretty blase' about it. He's such a guy!
ReplyDeleteI've always found doors; regardless of where they are on a building, or what type of building they are on, to be interesting. It's funny, because I've noticed at least in my neighborhood, someone "changes" their door in some fashion and suddenly the ENTIRE neighbor does the same :) ☺☺♥♥
ReplyDeleteAckshully I based my comment on your comment. Heeeee.
DeleteI too am interested in doors. I must have started the flower wreathes here in my neighborhood as I used to be the only one. Now, they are all up and down the street,
ReplyDeleteThat is a great poem! XO
ReplyDeleteI love your poem :) Doors are so inviting. The inspiration photo reminded me of the book "The Secret Garden" that I loved as a girl.
ReplyDeleteI am so sad that our fave basketball teams aren't playing anymore this season. I love March Madness.
Thanks for sharing your wonderful poem. We think it's one of the best that we read today. We hope you are having a fantastic day so far.
ReplyDeleteWorld of Animals
That's an awesome poem, and that is a sweet door.
ReplyDeleteOde to a wooden door
ReplyDeleteI also enjoy doors and the stories my imagination conjures up when I see them!
ReplyDeleteIt's always fun to imaging who might be behind a door. We loved your poem too.
ReplyDeleteIt just goes to prove that whatever you love, you are not alone!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds interesting! A story behind every door: true that.
ReplyDeleteWe like that poem and wish we had some interesting doors here. Too many too far from the road to see and mostly newer homes. Sigh
