Happy Tuesday: Sculpture C and Liebster Award

This series of photos are from the N. C. Museum of Art Trek

I thank Pam and King Teddy of Baconia for the nomination and questions.

  1.  Do you think there is life on other planets?  I hope so, I'd love to meet ET!!!!
  2.  What is your VERY FAVORITE meal either to cook yourself OR to order in a restaurant?  I have several favorite meals to cook.  I especially like dishes that have enough for 2 meals.  Here are a few of them:  Bolognese sauce, Tex-Mex Chili, Steak Suey and Beef stew (non traditional).  All very old, tried and true recipes of the family.
  3.  If you could afford ANY car in the world – what would it be.  Fire Engine Red  vintage Ferarri
  4.  Are you superstitious? No and it surprises me because my Daddy was very superstitious
  5.  Do you prefer early mornings or late nights or both?  Early Morning, remember I was owned by cats for 30+ years. It is their sworn duty to see that their people are up and out early so they can sleep 23 1/2 hours a day.
  6.  What is your favorite type of music? Country 1980-late 1990's, anything from 1960's, big band instrumentals
I am suppose write some questions and nominate some folks to answer them.  You know me I'm a rule breaker. Here are my questions (that I have also answered) if you would like to answer the questions please do.  Either in the comments or on your own blog.

1.  If you could change your name what would it be?  I've always liked my name; however, favorite sissy of Angel Madi used to say she was going to change her name to Cindy when she was grown.  She never did.

2.  What have you learned about yourself that you did not know during your recent stay at home?  My mama was a firm believer in 'making do with what you had, she was raised during the Depression.  I learned that I can make do, BUT THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO SUBSTITUTE for TOILET PAPER!!

3. Who was the first and/or second entertainer you saw live in concert and when?
In 1968, I saw Englebert Humperdink in London, England.  After the show, he autographed my program.  In 1974, we saw Elvis Presley live in Greensboro, NC.  We had 2nd row seats, center stage. It was over the top entertainment.

4. Do you have a bucket list?  If so, have you marked anything off the list?
Yes, I had a short bucket list and I've done both
#1. See Elvis Presley in concert,
#2. Travel to Alaska, most memorable. Four and 1/2 days on land 7 cruising down the inside passage.
#2 1/2. Our trip to the red rock areas of Colorado and Utah in 2017.
These two trips had the most amazing and breathtaking vistas that  My Mind's Eye will never forget.

  2. The Art Trek does look fun.
What have I learned about myself in lockdown? Interesting question. Perhaps it's that so long as I can talk in person to one other person each day, even if it's just an encounter with a neighbour in the street for a five minute chat, then that mostly fulfils my need for social interaction. Of course, things would be different if I didn't have the internet!
    Cheers! Gail.

  3. That is an unusual sculpture and fun that children can play in it.
My bucket list included travel, and I am grateful we managed to go to most of the places we wanted to. The last thing was to see the Northern Lights which we did last October.
I think our international travelling days are over, It is too risky and will probably remain so.

I so want to have a play on that psychadelic guinea pig!!!

1: I did change my name (never ever thinking I ever would and wondering why anyone ever did...) In 2009 I officially became Yamini Ali - thus also developing a middle name which I never had till then. The middle name, not as you might imagine; it is actually my favoured name up till that point (from birth name, Alison). I wrote about the why some four years back.

2; The only way lockdown affected me was that I was stuck in Edinburgh...

3; Nicolas Economou at Ipswich Town Hall in 1974

    4; YES.

    YAM xx

No bucket list, but you can ask hubby about his chore/honey do list on the counter!

Love the sculpture and your answers. I was late posting today. Hubby has become an avid blog reader. When I got up he said you didn't post anything today. It has been corrected.

    Happy Tuesday.

  8. Oh what FABULOUS answers to our questions!!!!! I also think you came up with some wonderful questions as well. Nice of you to open it up to anyone instead of doing nominations - I almost did that too (tee hee). I'm glad you've crossed both items off your bucket list. That's a big accomplishment. Sending you HUGS ON TUESDAY!

    Love, Pam

  11. We think "Sculpt C" looks like a space ship and would love to go for a ride in it. Marlu picked a perfect alternative name. 😉 We always enjoy learning more about our friends too.

  12. What a fun post and there is no substitute for toilet paper. I so agree. That stuff is gold is it not. I can remember not being able to find any for about a month. Had a friend that was down to their last roll. I can't imagine.

Love all the answers. I've never had a bucket list. We just do what we want when we want. Well not the last couple of months, but you get the drift.

Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Big hug, my wonderful friend. ♥

i am laughing, there are many things to take the place of TP, i have seen/used them. but you could not flush them. the outhouses in KY in my youth, had newspapers, Sears catalogs and magazines. two of the homes used the corn cobs after the livestock cleaned all the corn off. kid you not
