After lunch on Saturday, August 1, we did our usual ride around
through Country Club Hills in Raleigh.
We love the houses and all the beautiful landscaping...
I HAD MY CAMERA...and it was turned on this is what we saw
A beautiful doe sashaying up this drive way.
She paused a nano second...
then she went under the tree on the top right
slowly making her way toward the woods. What a treat

Information
Great shot of the deer. Always such a treat to see a sign of the wild venturing into a well manicured human environment.
ReplyDeleteRocky rocks!
What luck to spot deer. They are such gorgeous animals! Enjoy your sniffing, Rocky!
ReplyDeleteThe doe was comfortable to be out in a subdivision in the middle of the day.
ReplyDeleteWell done Rocky.
Rocky is doing well with his harness. He did look a bit floofed up though! It's best to be prepared in case he came face to face with scary monsters.
ReplyDeleteThat was a nice sighting of the deer.
Wow, Rocky has really doing great with his harness!!!

That was a sweet bit of luck and you could get some pictures. Rocky has that walking on leash down pretty well. All Z Cat did was collapse on her side and I could pull her down the hall while she looked paralyzed. Then I took off the harness and she barfed on the rug!
ReplyDeleteGood for Rocky and Kat, I am impressed!
That's such a pretty scene with the deer! WOW Rocky, you are a leash walking pro!!!
ReplyDeleteWe hope Miss Doe keeps to the woods and off the streets. Rocky is doing well on leash.
ReplyDeleteThe doe is a huge awww. I love seeing them too.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed Rocky's second walk and loved the music too.

ReplyDeleteMy ghostwriter was at work yesterday. While she was sitting in the break room, she saw a deer strolling slowly across the lawn towards some houses. It disappeared into someone's back yard. After a couple minutes, it came running out, across the lawn, and into the little woods. GW thinks that was the same doe that ate the petunias in the nursing home memory garden!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful sight the deer must have been(and I really like that she sashayed!) and such a beautiful lawn!
ReplyDeleteGo Rocky!!
The deer must have been checking out the neighborhood in case she and her family decide to move in:)
ReplyDeleteRocky is mastering the art of walking at top speed.
Woos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Beautiful photos. I love deer, they are so graceful. XO
ReplyDeleteI hope the deer has a membership
ReplyDeleteTHat is a great capture of the deer. Thanks for sharing. Enjoy your weekend.
ReplyDeleteLately we have a beautiful doe and her two fawns coming up through the back woods even if we are in the yard! Mom is not afraid of us.....but if Teddy is out with us, she tries to scare him off - probably thinks he's a BIG MOOSE since he's so big! HAHA
ReplyDeleteHugs, Pam
I love seeing deer when we are riding our bikes. It is surprising how often the venture out of the woods.
