Below photos are of a new multi-purpose building.
We have watched this building rise from a giant hole in the ground
for the as 18 months maybe 2 years on our way to and from
lunch at Seaboard Cafe.
Finally it is finished. As far as we can tell
they only occupant so far it
Publix Grocery Store which occupies the entire first floor
In spite of the major inconvenience, I do like the symmetry and art on the side of the building
Note all grocery carts all lined up neatly.
Personally I would not want to live above a grocery store or on this very busy corner.
Side note: This post was prepared using new blogger. It is my 2nd post
I liked the option when it was time to select image. There are several choices:
1. from computer, 2. from photos, 3. from Blogger...haven't tried that yet

ReplyDeleteI too rather like that building - but it will be interesting to see how quickly it populates! YAM xx
(ps - those image select options were always available, just they are now more prominent. I use the 'from Blogger' quite a bit for my reposts!)
I have never seen a grocery store with living space above it. It could be very convenient some days☺
ReplyDeleteUHOH.......E.T. and company know about bacon? I'd better start stocking up!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Teddy
Yeah, no cities or above grocery stores for us, although I have to say- the convenience is a little tempting.
ReplyDeleteI've never been in a Publix. Ya know we have a thing about going into grocery stores when we travel.
ReplyDeletelol....bacon. Oh yes, many people travel many miles for bacon.
Don't know why but it seems like a strange place for Publix to go in. They are so committed to their usual strip mall kinda location. I like the symmetry and the clean fresh look of the building... very interesting! Very funny with Garfield today!!
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting building. We like the art work on the side too. Garfield is a cat with similar tastes as us. We love bacon too.
ReplyDeleteThat's a very interesting setup with Publix. Love the funny!
ReplyDeleteI love Garfield he always makes me smile! I guess there are apartment dwellers who like to live in places like that I would not be happy but I know that they're building a lot of these tight places here and that people are snapping them up like crazy. We did a lot of people from the big cities up north retiring down here and they're used to living in tall buildings so they don't mind and they make them soundproof so that you can't hear what's going on in the street or and the grocery store below. Out at Lakewood Ranch which is about a 20-minute drive from here they have a whole little 4th Street setting called Lakewood Ranch that has condos up over all the stores. And they sell for Megabucks
ReplyDeleteI would not like to live above a grocery store. I assume it is very well sound proofed.
ReplyDeleteNice symmetry indeed. Hope that building has some occupants soon. It might be nice to just run downstairs to grab something you are out of stock on:)
ReplyDeleteWe think we might go nywher for bacon!!! Yummers.
Woos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
oh my...I guess it is a multi-purpose building. some won't mind living there, but I sure wouldn't. I'm spoiled to the core.
ReplyDeleteBay-cohn!!!

That is a lot of carts. Yes, Teddy better hide his bacon. :) XO
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice building. I also love bacon. Wish I didn't but I do. Hope you had a great week.
ReplyDeleteWe would like to sleep on Peace Street.
ReplyDeleteNice looking building. I think if yous was above the 4th floor the noise would not bes too bad. The apartment Mom lived in in Richmond, she and Nellie were on the 9th floor and could hear nothing from the ground (neighbors beside her were an entirely different story). And wes LOVES Garfield and Bacon! If wes were aliens (or just outside in the back yard( wes come for bacon!

Marv, Jo Jo, Kozmo, Cinnamon and Angel Nellie
We think the building looks nice enough as long as they keep it clean and tidy. Hope they have a good supply of bacon for Garfield!
ReplyDeleteThat is a cool building! Yes, most of the new buildings being built these days are 'multi-use' buildings. They are all that is built anymore around here. I have mixed feelings about that. i wouldn't want to live in one, cause of security reasons, butts then again, Ma's Pops made Ma super security conscience. anyhu, I guess you would never run out of foodables! Or maragarita mix! BOL!!!
