Nature and Feline Friday

We thank our Host LLB Gang and Comedy Plus

Nature Friday, photos taken November 13, 2020
It was quite foggy but we have found we see more wildlife on foggy days
This is a Hawk...not sure what kind
Other than to zoom in on this photo it is SOOTC(straight out of the camera)
Quite an interesting effect with fog and bare limbs.

This is a MAN and very serious wildlife photographer with a long lens. I'm sure he knew
the name of the Hawk; however, we didn't want to disturb him or the Hawk

I am 100% sure this is a black doodle taking his lady and man for a walk.
They too stopped for a brief moment to look at the Hawk

The below photo was taken on our trip to Falls Lake on Monday, November 16.
Such unusual looking fungus (I guess).  The tree was a victim of storms.
I expect the fungus to be very hard and dry.  It was soft and moist almost looked like tiny oyster shells.

Hilary has had a box theme for several weeks.
I'm wondering if she has recently moved? MOL

  3. Wow, a bumper post today. It's like Christmas came early! A hawk, a labradoodle, some fungi and, best of all, pictures of Diva Madi in her favourite boxes. Great stuff.

  5. We have seen that kind of fungus on downed trees before but never touched it. I would have guessed it to be hard and dry too! We always love when Madi joins the blog posts♥

  6. The hawk looks like it eats well or maybe just floofed out feathers. Many of our Oaks on the Tiny Ten had that fungus. When there was a lot of it we knew they were ready to come down. So nice to see Angel Madi and with her boxes♥

  8. Madi was the Queen of Boxing. I got fancy and made an airplane out of a box for Ellie - she used it for exactly 48 hours and she hasn't gone in again since!

  9. We find tree fungus can be super interesting sometimes and makes for a good photo. Cats love boxes, and Mom loves the one about the corrugated community since she works in real estate!

  13. We have a sparrow hawk that visits now and then. All the sparrows are gone now. They will return when the hawk leaves.

Love all the funny and Madi in her boxes. Adorable. What a precious memory.

Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.

Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend. Big hug. ♥

  16. We love to see hawks! My ghostwriter says she sees a red tail hawk that lives by the horse farm almost every day on her drive to work. Once she saw him on the ground eating something (probably a mouse.) We saw Mr. Cool Beans Cooper, our friendly neighborhood Cooper's hawk swoop over our birdie feeders yesterday. Years ago (back in the 60s and 70s) you hardly ever saw any kind of hawk or vulture.

Oh, and about boxes and kitty cats: my kitty cat cousin Maddie (aka The Kitten Overlord) made a box into a fort for her annoying younger brother, Tibie. It was called Fort A**hole. I think he still likes to hide in there. Hehehehe.

Love your Nature shots today C, especially the foggy hawk shots!

  18. Cool fungus. I wonder if they are oyster mushrooms. We have been looking for some.

  19. Looks like it might be a Cooper's Hawk? Our Lucy paid not attention to all the boxes when we moved. She was just glad we were unpacking!

  20. What are the structures in the background of the photo of the guy with the official looking camera ? Looks like some kind of swing set !

  22. Our neighbor has a bird feeder that has attracted a hawk - and the hawk isn't after the seed, either. The neighbor keeps watching out her window and running out to chase the hawk away! Really enjoys your funnies an pics of Madi in her boxes. I like her favorie box, looks like a little house with windows and a sky light.

  23. When we used to walk at the state hospital we walked right by a hawk eating a mouse. He nodded hi.

  24. We see hawks frequently around here - and if Ted is in the yard and they're "around" they will perch above him and watch him. I worry about that a bit however at 25 lbs. I think they'd need a GANG to take him off somewhere! Love the box photos of Madi. Ted has never had an interest in boxes - go figure!

    Hugs, Pam

  25. LOVED the cartoons and seeing Madi in her boxes was a treat!
Bout has to be a Coopers Hawk or perhaps a Red Shinned.

LOVE the sales cat talking about the Corrugated Community! BEST ever.
