Awww Monday and Sparks with Cody and me

  Thank you to our

Most days when I walk, I see Cody. However I'm alone.  On Tuesday November 16, my husband was with me. Finally I have a photo with my favorite 'hood dog.  Cody was in his normal spot enjoying the day.  He spotted us as we approached the corner about where the man is in the photo behind us. Cody had a spring in his giddy up that day as he came to greet us.  His tail was wagging a mile a minute.

These two quotes about senior dogs describe how I feel about Cody
The one above is a bit blurry it reads:
"Blessed is the person who has earned the love of an old dog"
I feel blessed each time I see Cody

  1. Lovely to see a picture of you with Cody. I feel blessed for every day I have with Bertie who, at 11 3/4 has, against the odds, achieved the status of 'old dog'.

  7. How lovely, and yes ~ the senior dogs are special. Our little Chessie was with us almost 18 years, through children and then even with toddler grandchildren, such a wonderful family member she was.

  22. I feel the same way. When I met the person who is now my husband, he had 2 dogs who were heading into their senior years. Ivy, a lab mix, was stand-offish with people and didn't warm up to most. She had attitude (kind of like a schnauzer!) and I immediately liked her. The feeling was mutual, and a beautiful, loving friendship ensued throughout the rest of her life. It was so unusual for Ivy that my husband continued to be amazed.
