Awww Monday by my furry nephews

Dearest Auntie HiC

This is a wee bit about our sweet Mom and her lover of all creatures great and small.

Mom’s dad was a Marine (Semper Fi), which meant they moved ALOT.

She was born on Guam, and attended 11 different schools before her dad retired. She was enrolled in 3 different first grade classes in 3 different states. 🙀
Moving frequently was difficult, especially as an only child.

This quote by Olivia Newton John (RIP 😿) resonated with Mom, as she always made friends with the animals everywhere she lived.

Even as an adult, Mom still considers animals her best friends.
🐈‍⬛❤️🐕❤️🐈

We 3 purrsonally experienced Mom's kind, gentle voice and loving hands as she won our hearts when we were all scared and alone.
Love Kat, Pup and Rocky

  3. we totally agree... our mama knows all dogs but has no clue about the people... they have no names, they are the man with the husky, the woman with the small dog who has this ears or the couple with the poodle, but not the black one, the white one hahahahahah

  6. That is lovely. I used to work for a vet and always knew the animals by name but not their owners.
I hope you don't think I am being rude, but when you copy and paste could you make the text a bit bigger. I have quite a problem reading the very small print. Thank you.

  7. We know all of the dog's names in our neighborhood but very few of their peeps names.

  8. I imagine a lot of us knew a lot of the neighborhood animal names and can remember them, but not their owner's names.

  10. I love the photo of your Mom, she was as beautiful then as now, I moved a lot, but not as much as she did. I have always loved anything that has paws, the things with feathers not so much. forgot the hoof guys. love them also. I too know the names of the dogs not the people. we idenitfy houses by dogs and cars and motorcycles. just like Easy does. the house with the DANE is my favorite, we have the cat house with the man who pulls weeds, the cat house with no people, the house where zoe lives.

  11. Awww. You made me smile. Talk about making the best of moving a lot. Hubby and I were on our walk the other day and hubby said that we know all the pups names in the neighborhood and don't know their peeps names. As it should be.

Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Big hug. ♥

  16. What a sweet post...............I've always been a huge animal lover myself - and I grew up in a military family but we moved every two years so it was very hard to make friends and keep them. We kind of wind up building our own little world to live in when we're in that life. Anyway, very sweet flashback photo!!!

    Hugs, Pam
