Dearest Auntie HiC
I was leisurely sun puddling with my favorite mouse, Ratatouille, when I heard something behind me.
There are several mice in plain view, so why does Kat always want my mouse!?! 😹
❤️ Rocky
Nephew Rocky MOL MOL MOL please tell your 'Imagination' he cracked aunty up
Nephew Kat remember Rocky is a young whippersnapper so you best be quick as greased lightning during your cat burglar caper.
Hugs and lovies to you both

The Eastern Tiger swallowtail butterfly is a buttery yellow butterfly with black stripes.
It was designated as the state butterfly in 2012 and can be found in all 100 counties in North Carolina
The male tiger swallowtail is yellow with black stripes. The female has two forms: one like the male and another that is all black. Both female forms show iridescent blue on the upperside of the hindwings. The underside of the forewing has a row of yellow spots, while the underside of the hindwing has an orange spot.
My photo journalists Carole and Katie Isabella sent me another wonderful photo of the
Red Headed woodpecker. N the dad to Katie Isabella's Client, snapped this one with one of his very nice cameras with long distance lens. He is 100% dressed for success. Red cap and tuxedo
Rocky, a "sibling" always wants what the other one has!
ReplyDeleteThe woodpecker photo is great! He's a stunning fellow!

ReplyDeleteCovetousness doesn't suit you Kat... Keep a good look out, Rocky!
And, oh Miss C, the butterfly and woodpecker are like Christmas baubles!!! YAM xx
The noise wasn't your imagination, Rocky. Protect your mousie! The butterflies and the woodpecker are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThe butterflies are beautiful. Mom has not seen another red headed woodpecker since she saw the two a few weeks ago at Grammas. They are so pretty!
ReplyDeleteMy husband just came back from 5 days in Mobile alabama. I'm still asking him why he came up here. It's been freezing every morning and no butterfly believe me. However my Red-headed Woodpecker did come back the other day for peanuts like I had hoped. Precious would love to have that toy and she might try to sneak up on Rocky and get it herself.
ReplyDeleteI can tell both of you that humans and dogs do the same thing. what one has the other wants and will not rest until they get it... its fun seeing both of you no matter what you are doing or thinking.. We have these butterflies and they are like flying flowers. I should say had, so far we have only seem 4 butterflies. we have no flower is the problem I think.
ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely photo of the woodpecker. Beware of your imagination Rocky, he's behind you!
ReplyDeleteThe best one in the house is always the one that someone else has.
ReplyDeleteWe'd like to see the rest of the story between Rocky and Kat. Did Kat steal Ratatouille or did Rocky prevail? Inquiring minds want to know. We love seeing those swallowtail butterflies in our yard too.
ReplyDeleteOh sweet kitty in the 'sun puddle' ~ so cozy ~never mind the mice ~ lol ~ Lovely butterflies too ~ hugs,
ReplyDeleteHugs to you Cecilia and Angel Madi ~ xo

ReplyDeleteHahahaha! Poor Ratatouille has two cats after him. Kat and Rocky can play the cat and mouse game. Gorgeous butterflys and a handsome Red-headed Woodpecker!
ReplyDeleteGoodness Rocky, you'd best snug up against your mousie pal pretty quick! Such pretty butterfiles and a gorgeous birdie!
ReplyDeleteBOL....Looks like there's about to be a tussle over Ratatouille real soon!
ReplyDeleteWha beautiful nature today C, we have swallowtails here also, although they haven't hatched yet...and I adore that red headed woodpecker!
xoxo,
Beth and the Girls
We have those butterflies here and they are so hard to photograph. They never want to light and stay put! Love that Woodpecker too!
ReplyDeleteOH the butterflies! I can't wait till I get to see some here. All my lilies and hyacinths and tulips were blasted into perdition by the shrieking winds every day!
ReplyDeleteAwww...such cuties. XO
ReplyDeleteHe wants it because you have it. It's that simple and that complex.
ReplyDeleteThe woodpecker is amazing.
Thank you for linking up with Feline Friday!
We two play those same games, Kat and Rocky - sort of like cat and mouse:)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful butterflies - Mom loves the blue.
Woos - Misty and Timber
I immediately recognized the beautiful woodpecker because Carole had shared with me. Very nice shot❣️
ReplyDeleteMy butterflies will have to be wary of the new barn/yard/pasture meows that are looking to work on their hunting skills.
ReplyDeleteThe butterflies must be the opposite of the mammals, where the male is always the brightly colored one. We wonder, Rocky, if you got up and walked away from Ratatoie, if Kat would lose interest. That's pretty much how it works around here with us. XOX Xena and my pack
