Dear Auntie HiC,
Mom’s achy-breaky back has been giving her fits for quite a while. She finally saw doctor who gave her a prescription for Medrol Dosepack. She’s schedule for another MRI mid May, and hopefully will receive spinal injection, & be on the road to full recovery.
Mom has always an active and healthy lady, is now facing significant challenges due to her back pain. This setback has been deeply discouraging for her. This is the main reason The Peeps cancelled their annual RV trip to Colorado.
We’re happy to report the steroids have already kicked in & she had a whole new attitude day.
Friends, if you’re feeling discouraged, depressed, or despondent maybe these words will provide comfort & hope. Remember, it’s OK not to be OK.
Get outside!
❤️ Kat, Rocky, & Cali
Dearest Kat, Rocky and Cali and YOUR sweet Mom
The mountain laurels is gorgeous I have never seen it..well not that I knew what it was seeing. I am so happy mom has seen improvement with the new med‼️‼️‼️‼️giving her a great attitude day. The close up photo looks like a very fine China cup

ReplyDeleteWhat an excellent video message to open our week... and as one who struggles due to arthritis everywhere, but most discomfitingly in the spine, mama Kit has my sympathy and so glad she has found some relief! Hugs and whiskeries, YAM-ayunty xxx
I am glad the steroids are working and Kit was able to take an enjoyable walk in the woods. The blossom is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteA note to the "KRC Georgia Kids" ~ Meowz 'n' Thanks You's all for coming over to paw and play at Zoolatry, we enjoy hearing from you all ...
ReplyDeleteSerious pain that prevents you from doing what you love anywhere in the body is very difficult to deal with. Hopefully the back issue will find a permanent solution.
ReplyDeleteDear Rocky, I certainly hope your mommy keeps feeling better. Lynn had to have a spinal injection long before I was even born. After having six she was cured. Lynn got to see Mountain Laurels when they used to go to the Virginia mountains to spend their vacation every year. But since I've come to live here she doesn't go there anymore, she likes to stay home with me. Precious
ReplyDeleteKat, Rocky, and Cali, I'm sending your mom lots of healing energy for her back. 🙏❤️ My own mother lived with debilitating back issues for decades and I saw the toll that took on her body and mobility.
ReplyDeleteThe video is beautiful, both inspiring and also a bit depressing for me, at the start of my work week! 🙃
We hope your mom's back feels better with the new prescription. Mountain Laurel is the state flower of Connecticut and we think they are beyond gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear the steroids worked. Excellent video, very inspiring.
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful shrub and growing in the wild! We're glad Kit is feeling better.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful video and words to live by. Happy Kit has found some treatments that make her back feel better. Back pain is rough. Beautiful blooms. It IS okay to not be okay... more wise words from Kit. And I have to always remember it is okay to be HAPPY!
ReplyDeleteSending you lots of distant reiki healing energy hugs for your back to heal so you can do what you want to do ~ Your video is beautiful and sends the perfect message ~ love ~

ReplyDeleteThank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Love and hugs to Auntie C. ♥
The mountain laurel is so pretty. We hope Kit is doing much better soon. Our Mom too is having issues with her back and sciatica, but she is busy with Dad's issues now and will hang in there for now. Happy Monday Spark.

Wow, what inspiring words of wisdom in that video. A chiropractor is the only thing that stood between me and back surgery. And I recovered and continue to go periodically. Of course, I know that's not for everyone.
