Thanks to YAM for fueling my urge to crochet
Last Saturday I mentioned that I took 4 of my 7" squares out of the line up.
The squares were 7" but due to heavier yarn and stitches I used the squares were too large.

I had two sage green squares that were too large.
My American Southern Scotch/Irish genes were screaming at me

I crocheted them two together making a nice pot holder or hot mat
Breaking news....over the last week I made excellent progress on the Afghan. I have 20/7" squares
5 rows of 4. They are joined together and I'm now
working on the border. Stay tuned!!!!
