Thank you
Dear Auntie HiC,
Niece Cali Auntie HiC loves x 100 this new Advice badge....classy just like you
Life can be stressful. Stress affects nearly every body system.
Deep breathing provides many positive physical and mental benefits.
I hope my little song (ABBA) will remind you to BREATHE, & remember, I love you❣️
❤️ Cali

Mom likes to place her right palm over heart, and take 5 slow deep breaths in & out. Immediately reduce anxiety & improves mood! Try it & let us know how you felt❣️
ReplyDeletethat is a super song, we love the cali version!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely song Cali. When I first had the cancer come back I regularly went to The Mustard Tree (cancer support group run by ex nurses and volunteers.) I had a deep breathing course which still helps. I have a port implanted in my chest just below my shoulder for my infusions. It always hurt when the needle was pushed in, and another patient told me to take a deep breath as it goes in. I don't know why but it does work and I don't feel it at all!

Great advice, Cali!
ReplyDeleteCali you are a delight. And you are so right about the effects of stress. We like it that you gave us a song to remember how to decompress. I will have to get on the floor with precious and see if I can do some breathing exercises the way she does. Hers seem to put her to sleep, lol.
ReplyDeleteCali, you have the best advice! I did EFT Tapping for a few years (another technique for emotional release and regulation) and while it seems odd to some, it got me through those incredibly stressful times of loss and grief.
ReplyDeleteStress is a huge strain on the body. Going for a long walk is Mom's way of relieving stress. Sadly stress can't really be avoided as it can be caused but just about anything, some things are more serious than others.
ReplyDeleteOMD, I love Cali's song.
ReplyDeleteThose are good health tips
ReplyDeleteMine Mommy does weekly yoga, and breathing (deep) is an important part of yoga, she has a really hard time thought remembering to do so in stressful moments ...
ReplyDeleteThat's excellent advice, Cali. I love your song too.
ReplyDeleteYou are amazing, beautiful to look at and smart too. who knew a cat could be this smart? When Bob had 3 bypass heart surgery, it was the old way with the 15 inch cut down middle of chest. he had a big tube coming out of his chest for 3 days, running into a bag on the floor. when the young resident came to remove the tube, he said to Bob, I want you to take a deep breath and hold and when I say release blow it hard out, when Bob blew he yanked the tube out and Bob felt nothing. so breathing does help. I use the breathing exercises a lot, but sometimes we need help from the doctor. I like the charts, thanks for them. I can tell you that the past 11 months I have had every single one of those on the chart and now I know why I kept getting raw itching spots on my wrist. they are gone now
ReplyDeleteWhat pawtastic advice Cali! Mama is a big fan of 6bsecond breathing...6 seconds in and 6 seconds out. It does wonders for all kinds of stress!

Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Love and hugs to you and Kit and lots of scritches to the kitties. ♥
Great advice! I have been using the Calm app since 2017 and learned breathing exercises there. I do the 4-7-8 breath and it is an anxiety buster for me. I do breathing exercises often during the day. Just breathe, right, Cali! Good Afternoon, Cecilia and Angel Madi... pretty view of Spring in your header!
